Chloe is actually a very important character in the future if they keep making the anime and I won't say she's been Sensei-Zoned, even he said if only she waited a few more years. Won't spoil anything, but this episode gave major hints at some future events, including introducing several future characters. The demon waiting to be summoned by Rimuru and the girl at the end that may or may not be introduce in the last (I think) 2 episodes, but I feel like they need more then that to properly setup those events, unless they leave the season on a cliff hanger....

Read the novels, both are great, tho Overlord's novel is just insane, can't wait for the next book that's supposed to release in a few months! Overlord's anime is too rushed, the 3rd season is 3 novels crushed into 13 episodes. I recommend to start reading the volume 10, the latest one is 13 so there is a lot more of stuff to read.

Doesn't make sense though, since Rimiru has yet to summon him, and as we know for both Demons and Spirits, they are not individually sapient, or rather they only exist once they are summoned. Like the Superior Light Spirit, he's the same entity as the one Leon summoned, but not the actually the same being.

Spoilers. Seriously Massive ones. It is. She was Leon's best friend on Earth. Yuuki summoned her from the past so he could use her as his summon. Her unique skill allows her to traverse time between points where she exists. So once she obtains the magicules and time skills from her adult self, More spoilers. and the Hero's Egg from Hinata who is under Yuuki's influence via soul puppetry curse until Hinata is killed/brought to the point of death temporarily. At that point Chloe is sent back to right after her previous self was summoned forward, and trained until she becomes the hero. Her soul can only exist in one place at a single point in time. Thus right before her young self is summoned, her adult body was put in a time stasis. Once her young self is sent back, her adult self will awaken with her soul returned. She looked mournful as a spirit because she died later on. Once she falls in battle her soul returns to the Spirit Summoning with all memories and magicules intact. Thus she accumulates power with each death. But is ultimately incapable of breaking her cycle. Mega spoilers. Seriously. Previously she always clung to Rimuru, sobbing. This delayed him long enough to Not meet Hinata before she reaches Tempest and begins war on it while Rimuru can't help, and by the time he reaches it be becomes too enraged to want to escape and is killed in battle. By meeting her on the way, he Is defeated, but fakes his death causing her to go back to headquarters thinking the army can destroy Tempest without her. This completely alters the timeline and events of the world.

Yes thank you Chloe Albert is a barrier specialist when she first went up against rimiru she used a water barrier the hero who locked away veldora was a more powerful barrier specialist also in the dwarven tavern with the elves doing the future reading the women he is meant to be with may have been chloe because she was also in the orb with shizu. Somebody created a time paradox to insure the Future would have a set course. No doubt about it this anime filled with creativity and fresh surprises.

I loved the anime, but i wish they animated Veledora's activity while inside Rimiru. in the manga, they had editorial notes labeled "Veledora's journal" where Veledora basically looks at the world through Rimiru's eyes and makes comments about his adventures, but my favorite was that Veledora and Ifrit become like a student/teacher. So many stories, i can't wait for a season 2

For those who haven't read the manga/LN, the demon he summoned possessed the doll/golem body Rimuru made in replacement for the golem he broke during the fairy's challenge. The deal was that the Fairy would help with the spirit summoning for the children and Rimuru would replace her golem. The demon serves the fairy demon lord for 100 years and gets to be free with the body. Nothing else particularly happened about with the golem (at least in this scene). But with the actual human person thing he summoned I have no idea

This episode 23 is the end for the main story, 24 is new original story, while 25 is Veldora's dairy. This episode also shows Hinata (she is Female) appearing watching Rimuru and Ranga from behind. Overall I think quite a nice close up for the main story for this 1st season. Looking forward to the next week's original Extra Episode. For the Extra Episodes, I feel is going to be like a point of view of the story from another character's view.

Just my thoughts, chloe might be the hero who defeats veldora back then, because the spirit she got is an older her and it looks like the hero who defeated veldora, meaning when chloe grows up she might use space magic(other kid girls power) to travel back in time, defeated veldora and give the mask to shizu...shizu said the hero vanished indicating she might have died and her soul came back to the kid for of her which is what happen in this episode...solidifying time travel, maybe something happened to rimuru that links with veldora and the only way for them to do something is travel back in time and kill/seal veldora...

I have a feeling that the spirit that inhabited Chloe was Chloe herself and could possibly be the hero that sealed away Veldora. It would also explain why the spirit kissed Rimuru.

I will give a little spoiler the one who defeated veldora was one of the Rimuru students (I can't tell you the name will be a heavy spoiler later) But Rimuru can be a mask of Shizu and Shizu can be a mask of Shizu's students themselves who are now rimuru students the one who is kissed the Rimuru unfortunately who is a student of Rimuru You will know everything when you read the manga and Light novels from Tensei Shitara Datta yes, future chloe is shizu teacher later Chloe will give the mask given by Rimuru to Shizu, then Shizu gives a mask that is given a future chloe to Rimuru, and Rimuru gives the mask to little Chloe sorry spoiler

Just a theory, I think Chloe is the hero who sealed Veldora and gave Shizue the mask, Rimuru keeps seeing the hero when he touches Chloe and she got that future spirit so might be her sending the spirt back to her younger self and think that was an adult Chloe at the end, again just sharing my theory, really enjoyed this anime

I think they had a bit of an issue in terms of remaining episodes left as per licensed for 24 episodes but the storylines from the novel dont fit the number so they had to speed up some and focus on others. They had to make sure they dont end in between a climax or in a weird part of the story. I seriously hope they renew for another few seasons as the story in the novel went really far and had a lot of interesting stories to tell. BTW i totally love the character Ramiris, shes totally fun and cute. Im hoping the last episode is about veldora and ifrit since they have a few chapters dedicated to them and what their reactions were with everything rimuru is doing.

Chloe is the reincarnation of the Hero. The spiritual body inhabiting her is basically like her powers coming back into her body. That's why Veldora reacted and why it felt natural to give Chloe the mask. It's been a while since I read the manga and I never sat down to read the light novel so correct me if I'm wrong, the anime made it a lot more obvious than the manga

Spoiler: The humanoid spirit that inhabited Chloe is actually Chloe from the future. She also the one who save Shizu from Leon's Cromwell and after that Shizu ending up rasing the five summoned children (Kenya, Ryouta, Gale, Alice and herself which is Chloe is her kid form). Chloe also the one who sealed Veldora Tempest in the Sealed Cave which leads to the birth of Rimuru Tempest as a Slime. She is one of the key characters of this show, make sure to remember her.

My feelings are mixed. The series certainly handled the first half of the story the best, nixing certain things I wanted to see in the second half and rushing it, which I don't understand since there are more episodes coming that it seems like they could have used for those parts of the story. I do still hope we'll get an ep or two from Veldora's perspective like the manga's been including in the end of each volume. That would be fun and take some of the sting out of the problems I have with the series. Overall, it's been extremely enjoyable and my favorite anime of 2018/19 fall and winter seasons.
