"Till Then" was originally recorded and released by The Mills Brothers in 1944. The song tells of a soldier requesting that his sweetheart wait for him until he returns home. I really love the line, "Pray that our loss, is nothing but time...till then." Hugs, everyone!

I doubt Geoff will ever read this but the cover of this song has not been out for even 12 hours and is already the favorite to be selected as the first dance song with my wife. We have been waiting for Geoff to do something romantic and never imagined we would be blessed with such a beautiful rendition. The amount of lives he has touched with his music continues to grow and will most likely be remembered by at least 2 people for the rest of their lives.

I have tried to watch this video at least 10 times and had to leave it running but turn the volume off I was sobbing so hard. My Daddy served in the Navy in WWII and my parents loved to dance. This reminds me of them putting on an old record and dancing in the living room as we kids watched. They have both been dead many years now but, oh, the memories of the love they had and even after over 50 years of marriage and 6 kids, still held hands.

Man, his wife may just be the luckiest woman alive. Such a warm, resonant, beautiful rendition of this touching old tune. I love how he changed it to "our love we'll always keep in our heart," without the plural, as they share a heart. So romantic 😍

I don't use this phrase very often anymore, but thank you. Singing along with you has reminded me of why I loved choir. It feels pertinent, so I'll share a story: when I was in the men's choir of Spanaway Junior High, to my knowledge I was the only student to cross from tenor 2 to the bass section during a live concert. It was a mark of pride, because I thought I was unique. The same held with being autistic, though until age 28, I didn't know that was the word for it. Today, I am part of a wide community that I was not aware existed. The same applies to you and your vocal range and evident passion. Singing along with your songs makes me feel less alone. Perhaps we shall meet one day... Till then...

I’ve got a special place in my heart for this song and the Mills Brothers. It was one of my grandfather’s favorites. When he had his band back in the 50s and early 60s, he’d cover this song with his band. He even taught all of us grandkids the song. When he passed in 2018, this song was the one that played over and over. It had been awhile since I’ve heard this and I’m so glad it has been brought back. All of those wonderful memories came right back to me. To Geoff, thank you for bringing this song back to life and making one phenomenal arrangement of it. Glad to hear it again. 💗🎶

I don't understand why this marvelous, romantic song seems comparatively underrated in terms of the number of views. Geoff's crooning voice is so emotional and just wraps you in warmth and the feeling of love. It is such a 'feel good" hearing even if it speaks of longing but in a good way. Or maybe you need to be ou have truly been in love to appreciate it?

The "grizzly bear singing a lullaby" approach is perfect for this. It's the aural equivalent of cuddling a purring cat on a cold winter night. The last few seconds get me every time. Clearly she's waited long enough for her darling. ❤

It's good that you did this type of style! Not too many people want to hear the music of their parents, or grandparents. In your craft, it's good that people are responding to the years of hard work you put in. What makes it even better is the joy you show when doing it! I am amused at people's comments about your range. It shows your level of dedication, and sacrifice just to pass the joy on to others! You and voice play may have not won a contest for a record deal, which only ends up in the dusty attics of statistics anyways. You gentlemen are winning hearts, In years to come people will still have that reaction to the music all of you are putting out.

This performance is one of the most beautiful, most romantic things I’ve ever seen. The gentle timbre with which you sang this song was the perfect choice, and your glances off to the side to Kathy (and if Kathy WASN’T standing off to the side, you’re a damn fine actor…) filled my heart with such love. HOWEVER, I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you that what actually made me cry in this song are those last three chords. I’m talking full on sobs, tears streaming down my face. F7 to E MAJOR to resolve to Eb(add9)??!?! Who does that?? (A genius, that’s who.) Good golly, Geoff…you nearly broke me with that. That is truly one of the most unique, most beautiful things I’ve ever heard in my life. This chord junkie can’t thank you enough for your amazing arrangements. ♥️

The story and emotions are so beautifully and skillfully evoked here. In the deep, gentle rasp of his voice we hear the longing and steadfastness of a man who will cross oceans and climb mountains to return to his love; praying all the while that nothing is lost to them but time; hoping that she will wait till then. His voice climbs higher until he stands on one of those mountaintops, looking toward home and toward her, filled with brightness and love and hope. And finally she takes his hand as *then* transforms into *now* and there's no more waiting. 💕🥲 This is a timeless story of love in a broken world. It's really beautiful, Geoff.

I said it on Patreon, I'm going to say it here. You broke me with this one, Geoff. 😭 I have a soft spot for Peter Tork's version of this song. I discovered that cover after he had passed, and realized at that time he was battling tongue cancer. It may not be the smoothest of vocal performances, but there's nostalgia and the sadness of his loss tied up in this one for me. Geoff, you have given a truly beautiful song an absolutely wonderful version to add to its oeuvre. Thank you. 💕

Just beautiful, Geoff. A gorgeous old song. Can't wait to get my piano out of storage (aka my best friend's living room 120 miles away). It's the type of music I love to play. I watched you and Kathy talking about her deafness and you two look so perfect together...the love shines. Thanks for the song.

Wonderfully done and beautifully sung ... an instant classic from the past made newly alive again for a new generation. Thanks Geoff. All the best in 2023 for you and your wife. May she never have any difficulty hearing the very best of your heart from that voice of yours (& vice versa). I was holding it together fairly well until that woeful/hopeful "... oceans we must cross" line. (I'm just an old Navy guy back from a recent sea crossing myself).

Geoff, you have an old soul and a crooner's tone, no matter what octave you sing in. This song is a perfect showcase of those elements, and the result is magical.

I love the lines in the black and white bits, like an old TV picture. The black and white also has a little flicker here and there that is cool. It really is these little details that Geoff adds to his videos that always make them so great to watch. You have to go back and rewatch to catch all of the details. Such amazing work.
