I could so relate to this song. My ex confessed his sins one night & life was never the same. These classic country songs got me through.
@pointingdog72354 жыл бұрын
In my case she didn't confess her sins I was just told that she made some decisions. I had to drag the word DIVORCE out of her. But I got the dogs and my Lawyer went so far as to name them in the divorce decree. So I got the Mustang I always wanted and "I let that pony run" fast forward to the present time I met a wonderful woman who I never would have met otherwise. Life only goes to shit if we are willing to let it happen. There's bad times in life, but the dogs or horses in our lives are always there for us. If you're lucky enough to have a great family to help you out like I did, you guessed it, life moves on.

Aside from this, I could listen to only classic rock or completely lose the lone shred of sanity I had left..so yes, I have to say I agree with you.

A reason I love and appreciate country music is because many of the songs give valuable life advice, "do what you gotta do, know what you know, hang on til you can't hang on, then let go...and when it's all said and done, just let that pony run." Best advice for knowing when to end bad relationships, to let go and to let that pony run!!

Probably her second biggest hit behind Maybe it Was Memphis. Many would say "Spilled Perfume" but i prefer this one. Other notable mentions: Shake The Sugar Tree, Deep Down, Blue Rose Is, My Vida Loca, Don't Tell Me What To Do, I've Seen Enough to Know, and Land of the Living. I'm 47 of Dec of 2022. This was my literal childhood and teen years. The harmony, the twang, the powerful voices of this era is gone as we knew it.

Saw you perform this last night at Arlington Music Hall and loved every minute. I first heard of you in 1993 and as far as I’m concerned you are the best female country vocalist in the USA. I saw you perform once in the 90’s at Treasure Island Casino in Minnesota, and you had #1 hits but here you were, playing a small room with about 300 folding chairs. My husband and I met in 1993 dancing to your songs at a little gay bar in St. Paul, Minnesota. He surprised me with the tickets. I still think he “hung the moon” to use your phrase. He surprised me again with tickets to last night’s show. Your beautiful voice is perfect accompaniment to our now nearly 30 years together. That’s why I was wiping away some tears of joy last night. Thank you, Pam. See you next year.

The best of the new revival of country music in the early 1990’s. I would definitely call it the real golden age of country music. The women were just as good as the men, maybe better. Just like the golden age of Hollywood. The best of times for sure. Pam was a big part of it.

I discovered this song in the Anna Nicole Smith documentary on Netflix last night. Incredibly beautiful song, and it seems so perfectly descriptive of her life. The producers did not choose it; Anna chose it herself. It is playing in the limousine when she picks her father up at the airport and meets him for the first time (at age 24). God bless her (may she rest in peace) and may her daughter know an easier life than she did. 🙌❤

I took my youngest son and showed him where I use to condition my race horse in the Mississippi delta river bottom after a sad divorce as described in this song. I had four children to raise alone. I told him about the horse and how much he loved to run. All before I met his mom. I showed him where I would let him run from Church Road in the delta bottom by the old creek to the cotton gin by Walls. It made me think of this song that I liked, which came out after I started riding horses for the same reasons as “Mary” lol . Then I began thinking back. I have wondered about it honestly. My friend which I worked with at CaseIH; In-laws owned the house in Tunica. As going to the splash casino. The only casino at that time in Tunica. Pam Tillis came down and did a video at that house. The house is really unique. I always wondered if you Pam saw me riding down there in my part of the delta and my friend told you the situation? Who knows LOL anyway it wasn’t long after, this song came out and naturally, I loved it as I was already living it! Probably just a coincidence: but If this is the case, I would love to hear from you! 😊 Phillip Hall
