Official music video for Tim Curry's 'Paradise Garage' from the 1979 album 'Fearless'. This video was often played in a double bill with 'I Do The Rock' before midnight screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I have uploaded this from my personal collection as the video is already on KZbin but out of sync and poorer quality. Enjoy!

Tim is a national treasure. I hate that we all get old and fall victim to various illnesses but I'm so grateful to have lived throughout and witnessed Tim's amazing career. You are still the greatest, Tim. You always will be.

As an old person who is also a big fan of his, l want to say this... No matter how old you look on the outside, you still feel like a 25 year old inside. So the next time you look at an old person think of the beautiful young girl or handsome young man that might be inside that person. Of course there are those who also are old inside, but I don't think Tim is like that.

To be completely honest, I think we could have handled him getting older without a doubt I say that with all my heart. It's when someone has a stroke / heart attack It destroys him in so many ways. I know there are Tim Curry fans that are out there ...that if The Gods stated We would return him back to health if everyone gave up one day of their lives for him. I have a feeling that every person that loved Tim Curry would do it, I know I would.

When I was a 14, my dad was the projectionist at the most popular Rocky Horror midnight show in Atlanta. One night, Tim Curry and Richard O'Brian came to the theatre to see the show....he gave me an autographed fearless album....and I wore it out! this was great! I didn't know a video existed lol - love it!

Oh dude, I'm ridiculously jealous of you but still, that's so freaking great!! I would've pulled a Wayne and Garth and gotten on my knees and started worshipping at their feet while proclaiming "I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!" But it's funny this happened to you at 14 because that was about the same age that I was when I discovered Tim Curry's Fearless album thanks to Limewire (oof that dates me quite a bit, doesn't it?) and so I looked up the album in KZbin and so I became very familiar with this vid and the one for my personal favorite track from that album, I Do The Rock. 😋

And feelin' so strange (I said after you... I'm a gentleman... Well, by implication) Baby's got a dream and she can boogie Daddy's got a groove that's comin' clean Jemie's got a vision of a permanent position, Me, I'm oiling up my dance maching And it goes like this And it goes like this And it goes like this And it goes like this And it goes like this Gotta boogie! Baby's got a dream and she can boogie Daddy's got a groove that's comin' clean Jemie's got a vision, of a permanent position Me, I'm oiling up my dance machine And it goes like this And it goes like this And it goes like this Well, I really only stepped inside to vary my routine You see, I read about this discotheque In New York Magazine (Hey Baby, What's your sign? And haven't we met before?) I really must suggest That we've achieved a rare rapport Hit the ceiling (Where are you? Come on, Come on You're usually so punctual) Gotta boogie (Uh, no, I had a little trouble at the door, But, anyway, twenty bucks took care of it... Do you come here a lot?) Gotta boogie

I remember through the stoned haze of the past seeing this video at the old 8'th St. Playhouse in the west village. They would play it right before showing the RHPS. Thanks for posting!

Trivia: Her name is Dori Hartley and she played Frank N Furter in the first shadow cast ever, at the Waverly Theater in Greenwich Village. (Googling her name reveals that she's an artist these days. She also seems to be a regular writer on HuffPo.)

I like how Tim stares at her like she's from Mars, then does a full-on Frank vocal in the next verse: "You wouldn't think that I'd spent hours outside/French polishing my cool." He doesn't really go there elsewhere here or "I Do The Rock;" it's like a callback for the fans.

I think you're quite wrong. You have to remember music video's were in their infancy at this time. And Tim Curry is as good at music as he is in acting. Most performers don't have near the training, experience, and range as he does. He's been in just about every type of performing there is.
