Haha, I don't think it's a character man, that's sort of missing the point of what they're doing. That's just who they are. The interviewers that get fucked with always bring it upon themselves lol. Either trying to get in on 'the joke', interrupting them or asking stupid, shallow questions. There are some really great interviews with these guys out there. Tim and eric are always funny and taking the piss to a certain extent, but they seem to warm up when the interviewer shows genuine interest in their work, asks sensible questions, and isn't trying to steal the spotlight from them. They're two extremely interesting and intricate people lol.

The best guy who interviewed them was the guy from the local Fox affiliate news channel. He basically just matched whatever off-the-wall absurdist behavior they were doings with an equal amount of wholesome “aw shucks” sincerity. Basically just held his own by being a total sweetheart and didn’t come close to embarrassing himself or making it uncomfortable, which is an impressive feat really.
