David got a question for both you and your guests: what is the ideal endgame for all of this? Going forward will advanced units need to be forced to sign SOG like levels of NDAs ensuring that they cannot speak out until enough time has passed? If that does occur, how do these special units effectively market theirselves to civilians? Finally… the military rightfully rails against “wokeness.” Do they not get all of this is just as, if not, more pathetic than what they perpetually rail against? Kirsten Dunst going to star in Bring it On: SF Camp Baghdad?

During my career I initiated investigations in combat zones for similar allegations based on nothing more than verbal reports. Unfortunately for Tim, he has placed himself in between a rock and a hard place: if he's insisting he did these things, he's opened up to possible criminal charges; if he did none of them, he's likely facing several civil suits that are sure to ruin him. Either way, he's probably getting the just deserts of a psychopathic narcissist. 🤷🏼♂️. It just sucks that he's dragged so many fellow veterans down with him.

I spent some time at FOB Anaconda right after TK left that tour. The unit I was in support of relieved 7th group. Before 3rd Group was given Afghanistan we rotated with 7th as our sister unit. we would do 6-9 months, hand over the remote locations to 7th group, wed come back and they would hand us the remote locations. All while operating around and with NATO and Big Army forces. That said, Anaconda was an absolute shit show. Hard to get supplies in and out during the winter months due to the location and surrounding mountains. The Taliban would for sure stage pretty big hollywood runs at that base. They controlled the populace with fear and threats to not allow us to by goats off of their market when we would run out of real food. Just a generally rough FOB to operate out of. WIth that said, over the past couple years I started catching on to Tim Kennedy. Initially I thought it was the whole, "The fish is always a little bit bigger" story telling that most Vets fall into. The way hes handled all of this has really been telling. Lost a lot of respect for the guy. I didnt care so much his jaded view on the 2A, he has a right like everyone to have an opinion. The claims of valor in war, purple hearts and things is wild, nasty work. Dude could hang his head high for a number of accolades hes achieved both military based and in the MMA world. I was not Long Tabbed, I was simply an Army Engineer who had the pleasure of getting attached to 3rd Group for my time in the Military. I got to experience a lot of things by working and living with the ODAs. Improving their living situations on the camp, rebuilding stuff for the locals, volunteering to drive on multi day Combat operations, sleeping on the sides of mountains, having some of the deepest convos and moments of pure chaos with men who I respected and looked up to growing up. I credit a lot of my experience and lack of combat guilt due to the professionalism and operational tempo those men instilled on me. Tim needs to stop wiggling and bow out. Unfortunately this is going to create some self inflected negative experience.

@JustGoove4 сағат бұрын
@jdwar11 i mean, there's a lot I'm sure they didn't include in that course. We had a whole team lose almost half of its team out at anaconda on my second tour. I was tasked with driving the survivors to FOB Maholic. An OGA camp. Idk if that was in the course. We also had the Dutch airlift us a generator into anaconda. The static from the blades popped a claymore we had for base defense. The Dutch thought it was incoming fire and cut the generator free from like 40 feet up. The thing came ripping through one of our outer perimeter walls lol. I ate dog unknowingly at that camp. Like i said we had no food at some points. I spent time at Cobra, Anaconda and Robinson. Cobra and Robinson sucked as well. Some of my most intense moments came at Rob and Cobra....but Anaconda sucked the most. I had no clue they used Anaconda in a leadership corse. We had WLC, anoc and bnoc when I was in.

All we have to do is look at the Navy, and see what they did with propping up SEALs for recruitment numbers - Marcus Luttrell, and Chris Kyle, for example. This is The Army/Tim trying to use the Navy's playbook to get a Hollywood deal, and have white men enlist again, and they can shape them into competent soldiers. It's true, most special forces today probably have never run across grass fields while getting shot at by an enemy MG, nor have they had their positions bombarded by enemy bombers. To say WWII riflemen were more experienced isn't quite true. It would make more sense to compared the OSS or WII era SAS to their modern day equivalents. In comparing WWII special forces to modern day special forces, the modern day ones have better training and often experience. I only say this because several of yhe early SAS missions were high in casualties (same goes for the OSS) because they were making it up as they go while modern special forces have the benefit of hindsight to learn from the misfortune of their past generations.

Also, I'm sure he feels there is a civil side too. He claims to own and be a partner in many military and defense businesses. Also, a public speaker & brand ambassador. I'm sure these allegations have hurt every aspect of his businesses and brand. I think TK is in the wrong on most things here, however lawyer'ing up should be expected. My question is why Tim would draw all this attention to himself about being a Badass, then Lawyer Up? Makes you wonder if he did things he was not supposed to do? Why do you only hear these stories about Seals and Army SF guys? You never hear much about this happening in the Marine Corps.

The problem with Tim is he has done two things that I'm sure piss a lot of us vets off and that is that Tim has made a dump truck load of money off this through his career and he has used his lies to gain notoriety which in turn opens a lot of doors for opportunities not given to others. He has accomplished plenty to be proud of without all the lies. I don't think the Army will stay out of this for much longer and I wouldn't be surprised if they pull his tab eventually. Tim wouldn't get his tab pulled for telling stories. He would get his tab pulled for his blatant well documented lies concerning valor awards that he clearly never received. The embarrassment factor alone on the GB community brought on by Tim might be enough for the Army to distance themselves from Tim. If he would have been a smart person he would have given a real apology like an honorable respectable person would do, then eat his large piece of humble pie remove the multiple claims of valor awards on multiple websites it would have been end of story. The term lawyered up was a phrase used by cops when they were disappointed in being shut down when a defendant asked for a lawyer. Generally derogatory and meant to be suggestive of guilt but mostly the officers were upset that they were ready for their Perry Mason moment and all jacked up to elicit a confession . 20 years of criminal justice procedures later. It is now a full on insult that is used to express outrage that this guilty criminal is hiding behind his lawyer. While things are improving, 193 people have been exonerated off of death row since 1973. I’ve done some deep dives. And on every case, I could find information for not one single wrongfully convicted person that was later exonerated had an attorney present or had spoken to an attorney at any point prior to their arrest. False confessions however, are extremely common and wrongful conviction cases. If one of those 193 people had asked for an attorney it would be extremely unlikely that they would’ve made a false confession or been falsely convicted. So for you to accept a word into your nomenclature, that was invented to give asking for your lawyer, a negative connotation only serves to validate that false premise. Ask the next 10 criminal lawyers you meet in your lifetime when is it a good idea to talk to the police without having a lawyer with me and all 10 of them will tell you it is never a good idea to talk to the police without having a lawyer present. In fact to do so, may cost you the rest of your life, regardless of guilt.. so when I heard you jam it into your comments, three times seemed like your intention was to weaponize the term. That can be very suggestive to people. And someone who heard what I heard when listening to you, but does not yet have the education or maturity to understand that any person with any experience or knowledge of our criminal justice system would not do a police interview without their attorney. But if some young person walks in there, what’s the impression that lawyering up is bad and makes you seem guilty well, then that’s exactly where the cops want them to be isolated alone sitting between two professionals who have training and years of experience, manipulating people to tell them the truth, and if not the truth to tell them something. Rather than already knowing that the correct answer and the answer that any police officer or attorney or prosecutor themselves would choose is I need my lawyer. Except this person is ignorant to the criminal justice system, but they have heard lawyering up as bad and they know they didn’t do anything so they get the answer that is literally the only way for them to end up convicted of something they didn’t do. They said no I don’t need a lawyer. And 17 hours later as the two professional detectives walk out of the room high-fiving with their confession. Another innocent person is going to be wrongfully convicted. Until 10 minutes ago, I had no idea who this soldier was. After watching your video he sounds like he has some glory seeking moral degenerate searching for fame at all cost. His claim stolen valor. He seems to be lying to his own council, which is the stupidest thing you could ever do. So my comments have nothing to do with this guy. But using language that tells people it is a bad thing to get a lawyer when in fact, it’s not only a good thing it’s the only thing that anyone who knows anything about the criminal justice system or any other aspect of our civil system whatever consider doing rubs me the wrong way . essentially getting someone with a legal education in order to help you through a legal matter is actually the only in intelligent choice to make. Seems pretty clear that you don’t like the soldier and then you’re convinced he’s a liar and he’s lying about his combat actions, which is extremely offensive to you. As judging about your hat, you may know a thing or two about combat and you may even know if you brave men, I never came back or came back horrifically scarred. Certainly understandable why anyone would not like this POS if any of this turns out to be true or that his story is BS, which is sounding like because there’s no way he he would not have known about that incident. It’s not possible so yeah I get it. I don’t like the guy either. I hope he gets buried. My diatribe was way too long. But the stakes are so high. if a person says yes I would like to exercise my rights and I would like a lawyer. The probability of a wrongful conviction go down to almost nothing. So I just really don’t like that term. Way too long and rambling. Since I hung that book on you, I’m gonna subscribe and rock out a bunch of your videos one night and go from there. The one I did just watch was well done..

Why would they pull his ranger tab lol. That’s a just a school. His long tab is what matters. And they probably won’t because they know how bad this makes them look sadly.

One of the first things you learn, not formally taught, but learn in the military is cover your ass. "Did you do this?" No sir, that would be wrong. No one, especially at elevated ranks and responsibilities, is going to admit illegal acts.

😆 when you rely on lawyers, you're F*CK'D. DoD; WHITEWASH.
@_________Pete10014 күн бұрын
My opinion on most of the books written recently is that they have a name of someone who served in special forces community during the GWOT as the author but are written by a group of writers and editors hired by the DoD for recruiting. The writers are told stories then they embellish them to make the story line that fits into an action movie if the book takes off. I don't think the "authors" even read the books that have their name on.

Military men are like fishermen there stories are always 90 % made up 😂
@justsmy567718 күн бұрын
That's not true. Most vets tell it like it is. No way they are 90% made up. In fact you just made up a load of BS with your post. Maybe there is a little room for stretching the story in situations where an estimate is required or the situation did not allow for confirmation of details (such as number of enemy in the fight, number of KIA, number of air assets called in, etc).
@markflores512418 күн бұрын
@justsmy5677 no you're completely wrong they tell the stories but they're embellished

I had an uncle who served in the Navy during Vietnam, who one week claimed he was on a river patrol boat, next week was at a fire base in jungle, next week he was a helicopter door gunner. When I told him his 214 said he was a cypto machine repairman on a cruiser in Vietnam, he told me he never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Great guy though.

Once knew a guy with a temper who stood 5'3". Got out of his car yelling at someone in traffic. I said, "John, you really shouldn't be doing that." Why he said. "You never know who you're yelling at." He said... "I don't care... my dad was special forces." Just always struck me funny and you reminded me of that. I'm sure you're not that guy but I just had to laugh. John was far from special forces himself.
