Re: the pen behind the ear; he doesn't use a magnet. He actually does it. He did it several weeks ago at his live show I saw him at. He uses plastic biro writing pens. If you both ever get to England and see him live then do so. I've seen him twice at the same local theatre here in Devon, England and I've cried so much with laughter and my jaw has ached so much. He's brilliant.

I was once roped in to audience participation at one of his shows. We were in the front row and when we were shown to our seats and I was at the end of the row, I remember thinking to myself that it might happen. Then during the show I could see him scanning our faces. He started to move away but then turned straight to me and said "YOU, SIR!!" at which point I remember hearing my own voice in my head saying "oh bollocks!!".

This makes me a little bit nostalgic! I still have this DVD - I bought it years ago because my ex was a big fan of Tim Vine. Her favourite bits really were Flag Hippo and Pen Behind The Ear! I still remember the first time we watched it together and both literally cried laughing. I must have rewound Flag Hippo 5 or 6 times that night! Aaw... a lovely memory... Thank you.

Tim Vine is amazing. I watched him as a kid in ‘The Sketch Show’. When I was a kid in the 90’s there were three amazing tv shows in Australia with skits. Skithouse. Comedy Inc. And The Sketch Show. The Sketch Show was British. But if you look for that you will see plenty of Tim Vine Sketches.

As others have said, it's legit. I've done it myself once or twice after an hour or so. I've never attempted "hockey stick behind the ear". I'll leave that to Tim. I did, however record the audio for this some years back and managed to mute out the audience almost completely and boost the other ranges. I looped it half a dozen times and it was my alarm sound for longer than I care to admit! 😅
