Timber Tones STONE Guitar Pick Review & Demo

In this video I review the Timber Tones Stone Tones Blue Dragon Skin guitar pick and demonstrate some of its tones.
Other than the pick, I was using a 2016 Gibson Les Paul Studio with Dunlop Performance+ 10-46 strings in standard tuning, played through a Boss Katana 50 (0.5 watt setting).

I actually have the same pick, gorgeous little thing. They are not “stone” but reconstituted stone, mostly resin. They are called Stone Tones Blue Dragon Skin. I was very disappointed by those expecting the stone tone I get from my Stoneworks picks which are made out of actual stones, cut, shaped, beveled and polished; those have a certain glassiness to them always clear and with a really broad frequency range that no other materials have. They also add a characteristic little chirping/ clicking “noise” to the attack of the notes.

It might be howlite turquoise, which isn’t genuine turquoise. I’m looking at a similar pick from Franklin Mint made of out real turquoise. It’s $38 dollars though, so I’m hesitant to buy it without actually knowing what it feels like.

Dude I just bought that badass!🔥Birth Stone Guitar Pick December-Turquoise and indeed it came out to the total of 38.55 but I infact did research and stone is better forsure and it doesn't harm the strings!!, if you ask me thats really important besides the sound too this will be my first pick cant wait to play my very first guitar! THE BALSAC E-1 FR!🤘🎸⚡⚡🎸🤘

I did not listen to this with my Altec speakers, so the result of your test will naturally be a little tinny on the phone and laptop that I used. I could not detect any difference between the stone pick and your regular pick. The lack of flexibility does give it a sharp attack sound like a banjo. If the strings are getting darkened, it is probably pick dust from the stone wearing away. That will eventually become obvious over the long run.
