sir my question is "if the work by A and B is in 18 and 15 days respectively and after 8 days B joins then how many days will A and B take together?

for those who are asking - that why he made the formula reciprocal in problem 2 - it is because - it takes 6 days if they work together, and in 1 day they do 1/6 so in two days they do 1/6 x 2 = 1/3

Sir in 2nd question ___ A and B can do in 15 and 10 days respectively , so taking lcm of 10and 15 is 30 . Now part of work done by A is 2 and that of B is 3 , now A+B part work done in two days = 2×(2+3) = 10 units , therefore remaining unit is 30-10 = 20 done by A alone in 10 days i e 20÷2 = 10

sir, in leaving problem you have calculated sum upon product but in trick 56 u have shown product upon sum, can u give a clarity about it or it was by mistake

it is because - it takes 6 days if they work together, and in 1 day they do 1/6 so in two days they do 1/6 x 2 = 1/3

1ST PROBLEM. A can do the work in 18 days. So, A can do 1/18th work in 1 day. Since A has done work for 9 days, he has done = 1/18 x 9 = 1/2 work. Now, the left out work is = 1-1/2 = 1/2 So, A + B have completed remaining 1/2 work in 5 days. Logically A + B can together complete the work in = 5 x 2 = 10 days. A+B together can complete = 1/10 th work in one day. We know that A's one days work is = 1/18. So, obviously B's one days work is = 1/10-1/18 = 8/180 = 2/45. So, B can alone complete entire work in 45/2 = 22 1/2 days.

For 2nd problem Take 30 As LCM ( total work ) Then A does 2 units of work in 1 day And B does 3 units of work in 1 day Both of them worked for 2 days A 2days = 4 and B 2days = 6. Total 10 units completed Remaining work 20 units . A does 2 units per day it means he alone takes 10 days to complete the 20units of work 😁
