Pro tip: Lock your ISO in Aperture Mode... If your timelapse doesn't rely on heavy movement and doesn't get too too dark, lock that ISO and Aperture, so the only thing that automatically changes is shutter speed. Again, if your timelapse doesn't rely on heavy movement, this is perfect. Also, make use of EV settings. A lot of times I set my EV to -1, because flat 0 usually makes the highlights blown out (on my Z7 ii at least). Great video, you're definitely a comfort KZbinr I love listening to.

Hello Joseph! You now have a new subscriber. (French in addition 😃! and therefore very bad in English! yes, yes 😄) Google brings us closer. But you are really very interesting AND without blabbering, without mind-numbing music and without believing you are obliged to overrated excitement like we see so much on KZbin! So, thank you and good luck. 😇

Just wanted to note that you can create a timelapse movie in the Interval Shooting menu as well. That gives you the flexibility of having a quick TL movie, but also gives you the shots to import into LRTimeLapse or other TL-creation tool.

Where is the option to render?
@davewynne68572 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisCorkPhotography on the Z6/Z7II in the interval shooting part of the menu, just scan down. You set it the same way you do in Time-lapse mode. I would suggest saving the movie file on a separate card to where the RAW files are being saved. The main difference between Interval Mode and Time-lapse mode is instead of choosing the length of the time-lapse you choose the amount of shots. The camera then tells you when the process will end. The time-lapse movie is compiled in the camera the same way it is in the time-lapse mode and is ready to watch at the completion of the shoot

This is confusing for me. I want to shoot a timelapse at 8K. There are too many limitations for the plain Time-Lapse Mode

Thanks so much for this. The interval priority is a little confusing. If I'm doing a dusk to night time lapse of a city from a distance would I want Interval priority on or off? Thjank you :)
@ShutterSpeak3 жыл бұрын
Yes - it is a little confusing. The camera wants to know what is more important should a proper exposure become longer than the interval between photos. Should there be a proper exposure at the sake of intervals or a under exposed image shot at the proper interval? So if your interval is 5 seconds between shots, this would on apply if the camera need 6 seconds or more to properly expose the image.

@@ShutterSpeak @Francesco Borsotti The 800lb gorilla in the timelapse world is LRTimeLapse, a plugin to Lightroom. On the Mac, I use GlueMotion, which works pretty well, but has a lot less bells and whistles. It's produced by Needed Apps (www.neededapps.com)

Thanks for going over this. Can we use movie mode for an astro time lapse movie (though it would be unedited)? I really appreciate your content.

Doesnt the Interval have to include the longest shutter speed? So if shutter speed is 10 seconds the interval will be 10 seconds plus time between shutter releases?

Thanks for explanation, but what mode you use yourself. (P-mode, aperture, manual)
@ShutterSpeak3 жыл бұрын
Great question... Best results would be Aperture Priority or Manual. You don't want the aperture to change during the creation of the time lapse ideally.

Ok when using Nikon z6 ii with latest v1.5 firmware, time lapse is not available when camera mode P,A,S, M is selected. It’s only available when Auto mode is selected. I have complained to Nikon customer support about this limitation because it obviously limits the scope of exposure control by the owner.

One correction: the more interval time, the quickly things will appear to move, because there will be more time between frames.
