Before you buy a big boat you have to know where you are going to dock it. Most folks seem to be looking for the boat first.

You only buy a boat when someone is ready. I’m not buying anyone’s dream they can keep it obviously they want the boat more then me. Don’t like my offer great keep it plenty of boats on the market. If you’re on budget need to read adds and know when someone wants the boat more than you.

The truth is, people don’t want to own boats after having them for a few years. The maintenance, costs and responsibilities become to much. If the Boat market wasn’t controlled, boats would be very cheap, of course, then you would have people that cannot afford them owning them. The best route to go is chartering if you’re looking into a big boat. Pretty soon insurance will not be covering boats damaged in hurricanes if the owners didn’t take the necessary steps to get it moved or out of the water.

@@JeremeyHowlett Exactly, don’t buy a boat without an exit strategy already in mind either. Figure out who will do the hard maintenance work and have a fund for all the surprises. Otherwise, I personally am over boat ownership and find plenty to do without owning one.
