@@natashanabein pretty sure their first album was a parody of modern pop music. They never intended to be serious with it, but the mainstream listeners swallowed it up. Yet they really came into how they wanted to sound on their second album which is musically superior

I recall them saying “if you like our songs you don’t like MGMT” because of it way back in the day. However I’m still curious what makes Ryan Russo (oc) think that you can tell both that they hate the song and don’t want to be famous based on their performance. I’m curious what about this video says “we hate this”. Just genuinely curious!
