Mr. Moeng, your comments are well balanced. Thank you. As you've said, the principles of ethics and morality are unfortunately declining day by day. Government leads in such a way that their own bad principles are now the rule and the South African society is becoming extremely unbalanced in many ways yet again. "The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it." (George Orwell) Keep well and keep up the truth!

As a black person I don't agree with the judgement...the song offends Afrikaners and in and as much as it is a "struggle song" its offensive to a group of people who consider it hateful. And as such it's hate speech. The title says it. "Kill The Boer". This goes against justice and the South African democratic experiment. How long are we going to hold Afrikaners against the past? When do we go forward? This race stuff is really a burden on our development and this country is such a great country because of its people. Why not embrace that? Honestly....big business and the ANC use race relations to keep us distracted and divided while they screw the country over. If South Africans could unite their efforts to vote out ANC or get them out of office then there would be hope. This is a beautiful country. For gawd sakes man.

True. Its like a mother holding onto her dead baby and carying the decomposed body around with her. The smell keeps everyone at bay....and sad to say ...but if you emotionally tied to dead matter, holds no future for yourself or your loved ones. If all mothers mourned till the end of her life....their will be no future in society.

Solly Moeng, a privilege to listen to him speak!!!! A fresh, sensible and logical message, without judgement of, or hatred toward any race, political party or religion in SA. I am not saying this because I am white, I am saying it because BECAUSE IT MAKES ABSOLUTE SENSE AND IS AIMED AT THE ONLY POSSIBLE FUTURE WE CAN HOPE FOR IN SA. As we are a democratic country, I WILL DEFINITELY vote for him as president, although, I think his biggest contribution in this country can be through influencing the decision maker/s who can make a difference through their "majority" vote. I am proud and uplifted to have listened to his views!! Inspiring!!! Attie van Wyk.

Slowly the minority white population will realize that the cultured values that we hold in high esteem such as reason and logic, only appear as typical prey behaviour to predators. The only language that a predator understands is a display of violence that will make it look for prey elsewhere. This has been exactly reflected in the preceding court case, in that the carefull arguments by Afriforum's Advocate Mark Oppenheimer ended up meaning nothing in comparison to Mr Malema's boastful exaggerations and aggressive posturing. Looking back at the comments left on the uploaded live broadcasts during the trial, and judging the likely ethnicity by the name of the commentator, one could see this reflected by race. Most black commentators believed Mr Malema had easily won with his fanciful put-downs and dismissal of everything and everyone he deems beneath him, while most white commentators thought Mr Malema's counsel had been put in a tough position. One has to wonder though, if mere incompetence is enough to explain how a Judge fails to see self-evident hate speech as hate speech. Perhaps the time for talking is truly over.

@h3HUg7Sp
@h3HUg7Sp 2 жыл бұрын
@@marthabohnen115 No, I'm just telling you the facts, but lets agree to disagree. At some point even you might realise that in large part things such talking, reason and debate, peace and stability, law enforcement and the judicial system, amount to little more than Theater, the illusion of order and stability, kept in place by a certain group of people in order to placate the white sector of society. They know that because of our cultural values we will likely be apathetic when action is needed, and we will place our faith in the societal institutions instead of sinking to our more baser instincts, to our own demise. There is a supposed leaked ANC memo from a long time ago floating around the internet, purporting to show how our current head of state, describe his plan for whites in South Africa as a boiling frog phenomenon; I don't know if the memo is real or not, but, in Nazi Germany, some Jewish people did see the writing on the wall and left; Some however, refused to believe that things would come to the worst.

I think the song itself will remain contentious to any culture or group of people. But those of us who knows that the only way for the mass black people in this country to protest or demonstrate their disapproval of any action by anyone who has some kind of power be it the Councillor, or the president is to protest and sing slogans that describe their frustration with that individual whether be it a group or a single individual. Now those slogans are not pleasant slogans, they are slogans of demonstration and they are not meant to be taken literal. They have never by the way taken literal because those who sing them know that they are just that songs of struggle. Now an educated person like Mr Solly is the one who will get offended not a simple person who sings this type of songs against the minister who is not performing their job sending a national awareness to the impropriety of such a person in power. I think if those who are educated try to psycho analyze something that is not even in the realm of the South Africa court system they are going to conflate issues. Majority of people will never be able to take anyone who is in power to court let alone afford to hire a competent lawyer to argue for them that is racist south african court system, what is then left for the poor people is go into the streets and sings slogans that are unpleasant to get the justice they deserve, now does the slogan lead direct action to the justice certainly not it has never happened, the slogans and chants are only a means of demonstration they are not literal. "its only those who educated who are not simple minded who thinks a protest song can be taken literal, only those that have never stood in the street and protested think that a protest song is a literal song" try protesting with a clean version of the song and see where your protest will end, protest by nature have the elements of anger, and disgust and all manner of emotions

I don't think Solly understands the meaning of a court process. In a court process what decides the case are the arguments. A murderer walks out free if the arguments against him or her are weak. Afriforum's arguments were weak in this case hence the verdict of the judge. I watched the whole case and I am no lawyer but the Afriforum's lawyer was very weak. Kill the Boer should not be sung in a democratic country under any circumstances that's a fact. But a judge doesn't make his ruling based on what should be done or not done a judge makes a ruling based on the arguments made by both parties and in this case Malema's side made stronger arguments. Afriforum can take the judgement on appeal but if their argument is still weak there too they will lose.

Bit of a story here: in 2000 my child was age 5y in nursery school. In our home we never referred to colour. Driving home in the car one day she said "I don't like blacks." I nearly drove into the sloot but kept my cool. I asked her if she meant she didn't like our much loved housekeeper, or her friends Suzie or Ntuli. Of course she did not understand her comment but after a discussion at her level she understood. Racism is still today taught at 'mother's knee'. Sadly.

Thank you for a very informative and positive interview. It leaves a tiny spec of hope. But, and unfortunately there will be a but or as used in the King James version of the Bible, "nevertheless" we need to get beyond talking about the problem/s' we have and get to action. Unfortunately such action can only happens if all, or at least the most, of the people can forget about their differences, either it be color, tradition, faith and what ever more, and for one moment think about the type of country you would like to leave as heritage for your children. We are messing and gambling with the futures of our young generations and I can assure you they will not be grateful for the inheritance that's going to be bestowed upon them. Forgive me if my English air time gets depleted as I am as Afrikaans as one can get. I was born here, as were my dad, and his dad, and his dad and the list goes on. This is my country, it is my kid's country, it will be the country of my grand children, should I be along here for long enough as I have citizenship in Heaven. Court cases is not going to win the argument and it will never be the answer. We need men and women, I rephrase, God fearing men and women who can stand up filled with His fire and Spirit to intervene in the works of the Satan who has gotten hold of our leaders. God can change this country and rotate it through 180, 270 or even 300 degrees if He want to, just because He can. Political parties have failed us, struggle movements have failed us, war has left many unnecessary open places at tables through house holds in South Africa when families sit down to eat. Crime and farm attachs have left empty spaces. All in vane. The government is nothing but a useless body dictated by a struggle movement which should have been disbanded shortly after the rise of our democracy as it was proven over the world that struggle movements can end the struggle but have absolutely no ability to rule. We should have been governed by successful business people. We should have a voting system where the percentage of votes you get equals the percentage of your yearly tax contributions. In other words give the people that contribute to the country more clout in the say what happens in the country. That way the country can move forward and as such more opportunities will be created for more be able to progress in live. The past wasn't good I Agree, but that has been gone now for over 27 yrs. So, get over it, you cant build a future if you look back to the past for inspiration. Let us move forward, lets get rid of corrupt political failures, lets free ourselves from those who propagate violence, disruption and division. They belong behind bars. We want to unite and move forward with equal rights, equal opportunities. and equal access to business. Bring God back in our board rooms, Parliament rooms, back in our houses and back in our churches. Get down on your knees South Africa, humble yourselves, cry out your sins and transgressions and seek Him so that He can come and heal our land. Bring the fear of God back into your homes. We are a wonderful nation, so diverse, and we have a wonderful country which was proof that God was with us and that we as more than coinquirers. lets take hands. lets pray and see what the Lord will do.

Yes, it is true that any judge who would rule in favour of such an abomination, should never be put in charge of kindergarten children, let alone sit on the bench. He is an insult; an unforgivable affront to black excellence, and what many fight against every day, and against what many have made the supreme sacrifice for, in the struggle against apartheid. All of these, yet the far more troubling issue is that the judge is clearly another 'cadre deploy', and another example of how the ANC have 'captured' the judiciary. Whilst there is no question of the ruling being an affront to basic common sense (let alone the law), there is no guarantee of a successful appeal therefore, where a successful appeal should be guaranteed. What such guarantee even, from the Constitutional Court? It is clear that 'cadre deployment' has already long reached the pinnacle of the law system, when there are judges who rule in defense of another 'cadre deploy' John Hlope. No, the only way to end this ANC racist madness and to bury South Africa's ANC curse forever, is in the polling booth. #2024:"M*A*K*E--I*T--C*O*U*N*T!" We have to, for it will be our very last chance, after which we will not have the chance...

Solly, you make my heart sad because South Africa could have been a success if we had people like you as president. But the ANC has proven by example that they were and are an organization of thieves and murderers who turned what could have been a fairytale into a living nightmare. Mandela you say was the man for the job, to bring unity in this country. I fail to see why you make that point. His legacy is a racially divided nation. Short sighted is an understatement of what type of leader he was. Did he honestly not understand basic economic principles?

Struggle songs like this one are irrelavant in the new SA unless EFF is adopting it with an agenda because these songs were sung for a purpose of executing. So its clear what EFF is prepared to do. When Zuma sang mshini wam , He was expressing a threat in other words expressing what hes capaple of doing. EFF every one knows they they threatning white people by singing this song. Question is are we now going to back to the past where racial anger was at its height and threats were actually executed where we saw black on black violence white on black violence black on white violence??? As for me i have seen the ugliest of conflicts in the late 70s 80s early 90s, to an extent that everone could feel n see that we were at a brink of civil war in the 80s to early nineties. I am not expecting white people to give up their apartheid wealth to black people wich EFF wants. The ANC is already in control of land and wealth and natural resources but failed to utilise to redress the wrongs of the past. I am not expecting that to white people. Apartheid was about discrimination of non whites but we dont have those laws now and the problem Is the ANC incompetance to implement the constitution and the law which is their basic mandate let alone asking them to be creative. The ANC have betrayed black people thats the big problem in this country and that anger should be directed to the ANC. NOT apatheid. Mandela left a good example and the ANC didnt do its job they thought Mandela left them a ilifa ( family wealth) and they looked down on ordinary blacks. I say if the opposition parties fail to hold a cohesive coalition to to govern the country then more problems I foresee. one party ruling is not suitable for SA because the majority party neglected the majority that voted for them.
