I feel her pain. I’m an over the road truck driver. We can’t pull into regular gas stations. Sometimes we have to hold our biological demands for an extended time unit we get to a truck stop or rest area. Then sometimes by the time you get to a restroom, it passes and you can’t even make it happen.

@flyingsic2 ай бұрын
@ personally we haven’t used mountain high and love our precise flight. But from what I know about mtn high is it’s a regulator and precise flight is a conserver. Our unit only releases o2 when you breathe in vs constant flow so it reserves the bottle for much longer.

Yes, Westley should have been comfortable as a single pilot in command, but with a good approach briefing using Steve as second pilot would also have been fine. In that case, with Steve confident in his IMC comfort, he should have been in the left seat and should have flown the approach. Westley should have been the one looking for the runway and then could have taken over to land. Again, single pilot is legal and safe if the pilot is current with actual IMC. The less safe part is the missed approach situational awareness transition from contact flying short final and then miss. Rapid return to IMC is something that has to be practiced to perfection. It is the transition that kills. Never seeing the runway, never going to contact, is safer. While IMC is certainly safer than marginal VFR, it requires proficiency, planning, and comfort. None of that happened here.

"Hello? I was watching your flight, and? It is good that you deviate your route to Spartanburg north Carolina from st. Augustine at Athen airport for an unplanned personal emergency. I am glad your not ashamed of the event, it happens to everyone at times. However? I would like you to know that the continentals are a high performance delicate engine and like any other power plant it needs to be checked regularly. I would hope that you check the oil and keep it's level mass at 80 to 95 percent when you was stationed at Athen Airport before departure even though all may seen well to avoid fitgue and stress. Also? Due to you landing at Athen airport for a personal emergency it is good to note: "One should never shut down the power plant immediately after being stationed at a parking zone regardless of the emergency. Instead? It is better to idle your powerplant system for a minimum of 10-12 minutes prior to landing before shutting down the engine to prevent engine block expansion due to immediate cool down of rated climate change from 58F to the elevated temperature(or final existing ground temperature.) to secure proper proper cylindrical compression during flight. " Whereby? It was better for you to open the door while the engine was idling at the stationed parked zone, and allow Kim to use the restroom at the airport before shutting down the plant to prevent any faults with your cylindrical block for the continuation of the journey." ~Overall? It was a good flight, You are well experienced. However? Please follow these short notes to secure your safety each leg of your journey. Remember? Safety first.~
@jakemarx5955Ай бұрын
I’m curious what makes you think that between sequential power reductions for descent, and landing, together with near-idle power during taxi, as well as editing to remove dead time from the video, this experienced pilot and aircraft owner did not sufficiently cool those engines before shutdown.
