@@cathypedego3504 it’s very simple: just say “patek” with the accent on the first a, rather than on the last e like the guy in this video does. Most people make this mistake. If you wanna hear the right way, just find on KZbin an interview with Thierry Stern (who is the owner of Patek) and check how he pronounces it. He owns the company so he knows how to pronouce it! There are plenty of his interviews on KZbin. Patek is a Polish surname, not a Swiss or French one, so never mind French. But anyways don’t worry you are not really offending anyone by pronouncing it the wrong way. At the end of the day even people making videos on how to pronunce it don’t know how to 🤣

You are basically pronouncing it the same just with a French accent. If you say it with a British accent, it sounds the way you said it does in English, but if you pronounce it with a French accent, it sounds the way you say it should.

The right way is not at all how it’s show in this video. It’s Patek with the accent on the first a. Just check how the owner of Patek (Thierry Stern) pronounce it, there are plenty of video interviews you can find. That’s how it should be pronounced. Btw, never learn how to pronounce Patek Philippe from someone who doesn’t actually own one.

Yes and No. If you want to pronounce the Watch Brand like a connoisseur , 100% accurately pronounced. But Patek is not a French First Name. Originally it came as an Eastern European first name. Like Marek. So the Pátek accent is Correct too. Specially if you own one..

Sorry, but the way you pronounce it is completely wrong. It’s quite crazy that you do a video on how to pronounce Patek Philippe and you don’t pronounce it correctly at all. It’s pronounced Patek with the emphasis/accent on the first “a”. This is because it’s a Polish surname. If you are in doubt, just find any video of Mr Stern, the owner of Patek, and check how he pronounce it. That’s how it should be pronounced.
