The 3 of them performed this song together on Dolly's show in 1976. They later collaborated together on a few albums. The first Trio album from 1987 is great & showcases the lovely voices of these talented ladies. Lots of great songs such as "To Know Him Is To Love Him", "Telling Me Lies", "Those Memories Of You", "Wildflowers" etc. They did a 2nd album Trio II in 1999. It also has many hit songs such as "After The Goldrush", "Do I Ever Cross Your Mind", "Feels Like Home" etc.

That song was on Linda's album "Prisoner in disguise" sung with Emmy Lou. She also did a cover of Dolly's "I will always love you" and this album. It's my favorite album of Linda's.

Every time I hear these 3 talented ladies sing this song I break down in a very ugly cry. I have this kind of love for my son but fortunately for me he's a great man and makes this old momma proud. Beautiful song that tugs at your heart. These 3 are so talented in their own right but together they are fantastic. Anything by Linda is amazing. Silver threads and Golden Needles is my favorite. ❤😊

Dolly, Linda and Emmylou - 3 of my all time favourite female singers. Have seen Linda in concert twice and Dolly once. Both were amazing live. You have to go through Linda's back catalogue and there are so many songs that she interpreted in her own way. Her voice, whether singing rock, country or jazz is incredible.

It does not get any better than this! Those VOICES!!! Those harmonies!!! Such sweetness to the ears. Such a healing balm to the soul! These angels released 2 albums together quite a few years apart. They are both outstanding albums. "High Sierra", "After the Gold Rush", "Telling Me Lies", "To Know Him is to Love Him", and "Farther Along" are outstanding songs from these albums though each song on each album is a gem!

Ah, the 70s and three of the most powerful women even in the business of making music! Each of them an icon, even in the real time of their releases. And Dolly, we know, is also a 5-star songwriter, still at it! The tragedy is that Linda can no longer perform, but she is still beautiful in her retirement. I first discovered this song on Linda Ronstadt album prisoner in disguise. I highly recommend that as a good starting place for your journey with Linda. When my mother passed away suddenly several years ago I played this song and it it just about broke me but was also very soothing😢❤

They each have a basic genre but can move in and out in each others genre easily. Dolly is (down home) Country while Emmy Lou is (very early) Folk and Linda Ronstadt was seen more as Pop (folk-rock). Linda began losing her voice around 2000/2001 and was diagnosed with Parkinson's around 2012.
