@ColdCoffeePhotography Жыл бұрын
@@jametime6086 Really? "fine" is defined as 4-6 clicks on this grinder - Most beans tend to be between 12-17 clicks for really coarse I personally find, don't think it goes more than a couple of clicks more coarse before the nut is no longer tensioning the unit

I see that they now advertise that the C3 (pro) is around 83 microns per click. But Idk if that is burr gap or movement so I guess it isn't really useful to know. What I do know is that they now have a C3 ESP Pro that says it is around 23 microns per click. Again, Idk how they measure but that is close to 4 times finer than the standard C3 so probably much easier to dial in. Ofc it is around $100. But, I really like my C2 and have considered getting something more espresso capable from Timemore.

How many clicks would you recommend for a Moka Pot? I have the same grinder and, with medium roasted coffe, I began with 10 clicks and now I am with 13 cliks and still feel that my Moka Pot (a induction Bialetti) it is not extracting th coffee right. I use Aeropress paper filters because I feel that helps the extraction and clarity of the coffee but, with 13 cliks, the extraction goes better if I do a previous "blooming" in the coffee basket; without that blooming the coffee does not flow so well, but it is a bit annoying to do the blooming each time I want a coffee... Maybe I should go up to 14 clicks?. I thought that Moka pot grind size should be between espresso and pour over (between 10 to 13 clicks on the Timemore C3), but on my Bialetti that grind size is to fine to flow well. As James Hoffman said in is Moka Pot videos, is a bit frustrating to use that machine...

Of course, I know that 1zpresso is better, but the problem is that I need it mainly for pour over and Aeropress. I will rarely make espresso and also only on a cheap Delonghi EC685. I also like the size of the Timemore since I will be traveling a lot and the 1zpresso seems a lot bigger. Do you recommend it if I want it mainly for pour over and aeropress or is it worth paying an extra €154?

Thank you. First of all, shop around. You can get Timemore C3 cheaper than that. Some viewers mentioned they found it below $50 and I bought mine for less than £70. Last year I also had C2.
