Thank you so much Dave for creating this talk about Timeshare. I heard about it from you a while ago and never heard of it before, then this weekend I was in the Excalibur hotel in Las Vegas and representatives pitched us the free gifts for presentation thing, the minute I heard it's a timeshare presentation I knew I had to run and I did! I got spared this time thanks to you for sharing this knowledge and awareness to the American people!

Dave, a man whose lived out stupid himself, then God opened up an opportunity for Dave to be a blessing to millions, turning his ashes into glory. They then question the Financial Peace principles that have literally changed millions of people's lives. I've gone to a presentation. We didn't have the money anyway to buy in so it was easy to say no. It was more of an excuse to go to Tahoe for a day. They walked us around the resort, took us into a room to get us cozy, which btw it was trash. Then proceeded to give us a sit down talk for over 2 hours. When I would stop paying attention, the guy would ask me if something was up and he would "wait" until I was back on track with him. Once we kept saying no, he called in his manager so he can talk with us to try and intimidate us. We kept on with the "no's" and the last 30 minutes was then telling us how boring of a life we lead. We never did get that free trip to Hawaii and they stole $75 from us for the booking of the trip. Probably would've set us up in a hotel to get our kidneys replaced with Capri Suns or something like it. As we were leaving we gave the best advice we could to another couple going up the elevator with the same time share S-Hole, "Just say NO", and the doors were shut..

And personally, I think Ron Paul has done way more good than Ross Perot.) But in great fairness to Dave, he has mentioned this stuff from time to time, and I think his focus on helping individual people fix their own lives is the most practical realistic thing that can be done.

Pretty bad when Inside Edition calls you on the carpet for doing business with a rip-off artist company (Timeshare Exit Team) that claimed to help get people out of their timeshare . Yet, a combative Ramsey doubled down and was smug about accepting their ad dollars for years. Do some online research on how to get out of debt, instead of listening to this blow hard.

Bud from Boston, your family probably paid insurance on the lake home decades. You never got a penny back, and the insurance company invested your money. It's common for the power to go out and pipes freeze in vacation homes . When it warms back up, unfortunately mold grows throughout the house. And it's a total loss . The bank will be happy for the one time payment from your insurance company

I wouldn't do a mutual fund. Do an "unmanaged" INDEX fund. Save those fees. Managed funds, like Mutual funds, are a scam, IMO. And real estate is the best but I would wait until after the bubble bursts. Then buy 2 - one to live in and one to watch escalate in value. That second one could be your ticket.

unless they are acting upon your behalf as legal representation , these companies are not efficient at their job and more or less a scam ! A PT making only $86K? Wow...In California, she'd be making $150K, which is what I was making as a Med Tech in today's dollars. But then, my student loan debt when I graduated in 1980 at 3% was $850 (thanks to government Pell Grants), slightly less than her $115,000 loan. I would recommend she move here where Physical Therapists command royal salaries. However, here, typically, a Masters Degree is needed for PT's to get top dollar.

It's unrealistic to buy a house and budget nothing besides closing costs and movers. Even if you are disciplined and resist the urge to renovate and decorate, there are likely to be expenses. Cast iron cookware used on your prior gas stove isn't recommended on an electric smooth top range, for instance. Or the security system your inspector thought was fine is glitchy and needs repair. Allowing almost nothing for these kinds of issues is a bad plan, in my experience.

All of the comments I've read from others that got out is they received $0 of the money they paid for the timeshare back. The ones that were successful only stopped having to pay the annual fees (the price paid for the timeshare, it's a wash). In addition, the lawyers at Timeshare Exit Team charge thousands of dollars for their services so you are out of a large amount of money twice even if successful.
@SandraandHarry Жыл бұрын
@@randys6220hiring a lawyer to get you out is not new debt. You are already legally obligated to the debt. You are simply redirecting a few years of MF to stop the bled for the next 20-30 years and save your heirs/estate the headache
