Adam, your channel has reignited a creative side that I thought was long dead. To the point that I appreciate art again and have even started creating my own after a 25 year hiatus. Thank you.

I've been a painter for 40+ years and paint has changed alot the body shop I worked at was a huge production shop when I left about 17 years ago when I started working there as a young teen̈ager there was the owner and 7 employees when I left we had over 40 employees and the shop was 4 times bigger we had the best of the best equipment and paint booths myself and the owner did alot of the custom work and we did alot of motorcycle but not as nice as your work we did alot of candy paint work on bikes but mostly flames and and panel jobs a little 60s and 70s style stripping but nothing like your doing. Great job. You are talented.

Adam, I am looking to do a custom paint job on my motorcycle tins and wanted to know a few questions,I do not know if this is the place for this if you prefer it sent to email let me know. 1. Can I paint metal flake onto a clear basecoat instead of black (because i need the clear base coat already for the candy and would save some money on the black) 2. all the paint that either you post or I can find, I believe are decent sized items and I understand it's better in the long run to buy in more bulk but to get started is there anywhere you know that I can find like almost sample bottles to basically practice on one of your practice panels to see if its even feasible for me to do my motorcycle tins? 3. Really what I am getting at is from a budgetary standpoint all in with most things needed for the paint job it would cost about 1,500-2,000 which is a little much for me to paint one set of tank and fenders is there any way for you to make a video on if you were just starting out and were on a tight budget the things you would absolutely buy and things you can do without Sorry for the lengthy comment

Great video, thank you 🙏 I’m about to paint my first tank, so total newb here. If you’re mixing a particular color, can you make extra (to save for the fenders, for example) and store it for some amount of time in an air-tight container, or bad idea after it’s mixed? Thank you again! 🤙

I have a challenging question to figure out for metal flake that is exposed to water & oxidizes, then it turns brown. Now I know a water tight epoxy sealer is recommended for the surface, but what is best for the top coat? Afraid 2k urethane won't be waterproof enough, & epoxy as a top coat will yellow. Trying to find the best choice top coat to put faith in. Art sits on the ground, for temporary house art.
@TimeWarpCustomPaint7 ай бұрын
Most metal flake is not made out of metal so I’m not sure.

@@TimeWarpCustomPaint must be the silver & flake that is called heavy metal...but I will try to get a good clear top coat soon to put faint in.

Do you add a clear coat at the end to protect the paint from getting destroyed with fuel?
@briangodwin65575 ай бұрын
How long are you waiting in-between layers/details seems fast on KZbin

At least 12 hours if it’s been clearcoated between layers with coats and candy they dry fast so just a matter of minutes
