It's hard for a filipina to travel outside the PHILIPPINES. If Tim and Christin get married then she can apply for a VISA to travel to the U.S.A. That takes 6 months to a year for the paperwork to finish. Then once she gets to the U.S. she can get her resident alien card. Then they can travel together. Another way is to apply for a fiance VISA to get married in the USA.

The laws of their government. They are not free to travel with their passport like a U.S. citizen is. Another way is to get a work VISA but that is hard to get. So it is easy for Tim to visit Christin in PI but impossible for her to fly to the U.S. without a VISA. It took around a year for my ex wife to get her VISA to travel here to America and she was already pregnant with our child. I had to go to the embasy in Manila to help get the VISA expedited.
