Excellent reivew, Tim. Since making the decision to buy an electric scooter, I've watched tons of reviews. Since I live in Portugal, I'm a bit liimited. I've found a company called Ride and Glide in the UK that ships here. They have several of the Apollo models on sale right now. At first, the Ghost seemed to fit my budget and needs but I'm not crazy about the industrial design nor the proturding clip at the back of the base. The City Pro fits the budget but here in the Algarve, there are lots of hills. In fact, I live at the top of a long, steep hill that's difficult even on my ebike. After watching your review of the Phantom V3, I've decided that considering it's extra power and range, that's the way to go even if it does break the bank. When spending this much money, I'd rather have the piece of mind knowing that I won't have buyer's remorse for trying to save a few bucks at the cost of not having a scooter that fits my needs.

The one feature that lured me in on the V2 was the locking mechanism which allowed me to carry it up and down stairs. Those 1200w motors barely made it up that hill. I'm so glad I went with the Nami max. Even though it weighs a lot and has no locking mechanism, with the 1500w dual motors and 72v 40ah LG batteries, it has endless amounts of power to haul my 6'5" 300lb frame around. It eats real hills up for breakfast lunch and dinner with no exaggeration in S mode even at 40% power. Not 40% battery. In the P settings, you can customize the power delivery in each wheel from 1 - 5. I have yet to change the factory settings and its more than enough power for me at the moment. This is my 1st scooter ever. Ludo mode would be Sport mode on the Nami with no limit. Leaving you with custom mode, followed by X mode and then X turbo 💥💨 The ride quality is second to none! The apollo is rickety and rackety and jarring over bumps. Those looking at the V3 Phantom should really test ride a Nami Klima 1st or the Burn E2 OR sell an organ and get yourself the Max version, you won't have any buyer's remorse 💯it really lives up to the hype!

Awesome @garysandhu5082, thanks for your comment. Honestly no...I wouldn't get the hydraulic brakes unless I was an aggressive rider. I typically don't use the brakes at all...just the regen :) In fact it's so common for me that when I test a scooter without regen my left thumb hunts for it out of habit :) As to a range test, I think Jamie did one her on the channel...but I'd feel comfortable riding conservatively around 30k if that helps :)

Good vid. I thought it was slow on the hill test considering 1200w motors!! I tested a my 1st escooters yesterday. A friend brought his Synergy Cyclone over for me. I did not like it over all. This a a fare size scooter and I found if awkward to ride. Stance, arms and body position to the handle bars. And that trigger finger throttle was horrendous and I think that will be the same for all scooters using that style -- get a thumb. I will not get a scooter -- for me, Im going to stick with EUC's but I am not discouraging folks from trying scooters, try both if you get the chance. Cheers.

I have noticed that the steering mechanism of the Apollo Phantom 2023 scooter appears to remain fixed in position when it is aligned straight, rather than providing the expected smooth transition from left to right. While I am uncertain if this is a standard feature of Phantom Scooters, I am interested in understanding if others have encountered a similar issue, or if it may be a cause for concern. I would greatly appreciate your input on this matter, particularly since you own a Phantom scooter and can offer insights into the expected steering mechanism behavior. Another thing not mention too often about Apollo scooters is the price. I knew they were made in Canada and I know everything here cost so much so I thought they would be a lot more than they are for the technology and quality from a smaller company. Nope, great prices. On their webpage now you can get the dual 1200 w ghost model for I think $1,899. 400 off. Bigger companies like Segway who should be more competitive in pricing are selling some of their midsized models with single motor 650 watt for the same price and 9bots that don't even have suspension for not much less. No comparison at all for bang for your buck.

I didn't know that Andrew, thanks for sharing...the pricing isn't something I get into as pricing is so different around the world but awesome to hear that they're being so competitive ;) Cheers

Far from the best, there’s Dualtrons, Vsetts, Kaabo, Nami, that give you more power, range hydraulic breaks for the same price.
