That smile at 1:00... Doesn't it just break your heart knowing he is gone? Yes, I keep coming back to what he left us with. And most of us know that David wasn't very proud of what he did in the 80s. But I know he and Tina genuinely liked each other, so I hope that he truly enjoyed this performance as much as he seemed to do.

My sis went to that gig to see TT. There were rumours of some sort of special guests. No one knew who, and most didn't care cos they were seeing Tina. The applause you hear is genuine as that song was thrown in for one night only and not even on the radar. When Bowie appears ir is genuine surprise to the audience.

+Tee See1962 Which concert was this? Was it in 1990? I am trying to find the whole concert, but dont really know the year... :)
@tonyc40278 жыл бұрын
+valens665 Not too sure of the year - I thought it was '89 - but the gig was at NEC in Birmingham. It was a Saturday night and the reason I know this was TT was doing 2 nights - her husband was given through his work tickets for either Saturday or Sunday. Due to his workload they were planning to go Sunday but at the last minute they managed the Saturday. Because he had open tickets they went again on Sunday lol but this time the guest star was Bryan Adams. Not quite the same league but he was big back then. Hope this helps.

I love the kind of guy that David is. He is so humble, note when the girl comes up to the stage, and grabbed him, David hugged her. He could get angry, but not, he was very kind to that girl. Something like that happened to him in 1990 when he was singing with Tin Machine, and he did the same with his fan. This is a true man, a great man!!! I really love him ♥♥♥ And Tina, just brilliant artist and woman.

Just like the dashing white knight that he is portraying in this guest appearance, Bowie seems to have been present whoever was playing - waiting in the backstage only to suddenly reemerge - as his influence permeated the entire music industry. Now that he is gone, this simple truth becomes more evident: It was Bowie all along. He has always been there, and his good spirit is sure to continue to linger on in the back, no matter who takes the stage.

@radioscillator8 жыл бұрын
He was certainly magical! Though he was an entertainer and celebrity, the very real, and human, side of him seemed so accessible. Perhaps that is why his passing has left such a void, to simultaneously be of this earth and also not of this world at all. I still find it so saddening that he is no longer with us, but I am so thankful to have his music and performances like this to enjoy until someday I go as well. May he be at peace among the stars forever. ✨✨✨
