Tintin, Captain Haddock and Snowy search the Caribbean for a pirate's sunken treasure. Professor Calculus joins Team Tintin with his shark submarine, his pendulum and his deafness. The Thompsons also contribute to the adventure by annoying Haddock with their foolishness - and pumping.

The show ran for 3 seasons, adapting 21 stories in total. 7 stories per season, 13 episodes per season. Each season, one story had to be consolidated into a single episode. Out of the stories that were in season 1, sadly they settled on shortening this one. But imagine if they picked a different one...

Weird that you don't mention how series intro has the scene of of the "Red Rackham's Treasure", where the detectives get binders dropped on their heads, which didn't appear in the actual episodes.

Pity most of the story was not adapted. The Thom(p)sons scenes were funny.

The older TV show by Belvision somehow managed to retain more of the original story, while simultaneously butchering it in utterly ridiculous ways. Mind you, that version was my earliest exposure to Tintin... I saw that on VHS when I was very young, but later on I did read all of the comics, and realize how weird the Belvision show was.

seriously jeffrey! every time you make a comparison video of an one 20-minute episode of tintin, you always use the same clip from Groucho and Chico each time a sequence is cut off! is that you know that this same routine is starting a little bit annoying?
