It’s not odd that cats form a social group. It’s odd that there was only one other cat but who knows why they do what they do. My guess is that BamBam might have been pushed out of other groups and he found another kitty to bond with. Cats are social critters and them doing this is not odd. My neighbors cat used to come by and ironically my little nutcase kitten tried to bond with him ( he was having none of it the big cat anyway). Then after a few years I caught them laying curled up together on one chair. So it’s weird how cats bond with humans and other cats but they do

@@matthewcaughey8898 they bond because they are social animals so are we its why we form friendships most other animals do as well take a family that has say 3 dogs and 3 cats like mine they formed a social group as they grew up together the old grumpy cat we had wanted nothing to do with the two younger ones but after a yr of watching them bond with us and the dogs he started just coming and hanging out with us by the time the oldest cat passed away they would all curl up together in the sun and at night the cats would sleep at my feet

Well, here's the funny part - my girlfriend had two cats that were sisters (from the same litter really). They looked VERY MUCH like Mowgli and BamBam. Yes it is possible that they are both sisters, even though they don't look like each other. The two of them were really very close to each other, very similar to Mowgli and BamBam, which brings me to the point. While pretty unlikely, maybe, just maybe, Mowgli and BamBam are siblings as well?

It is very common for cats to bond very closely and form a social group. That's why when you feed one stray cat, you'd suddenly have 16 cats at your doorstep within a few days. They live in something called a 'cat colony' which is basically all stray cats living together. A lot of the times when a female cat gives birth but she needs to go out and hunt, another female cat will watch over the kittens and keep them warm for her. Sometimes males do this too. And then there are cats who form very special and tight bonds, almost like a sibling or very very close friend they might as well be family, in that cat colony. And I would say that bambam and mowgli are like those types of cats. Its really sweet and adorable!!

Thirteen years ago we found a little cat in a pet shop, he was about 6 weeks old and very weak, he was rescued by somebody who found him in a park soaked and lonely. The vet told us there was very little chance he would survive. We adopted him and we had 13 wonderful years until he sadly left us two years ago. Your story reminded us of Suki. Bless you for saving him. Cats are the most wonderful pets.

Yeah i know that feeling u see about 1 year ago two cats came into our house well u must be awking how we have a big gap on our houses door we fed them water and rice why rice because we are actually kind of poor ive had this phone for over 3 years so there were so bad kids that drowned the kitten as soon as i saw the kitten dead i knew this was war luckily one kitten survived i saved her 2 times but sadilyshe got caught that day cried for 1 week i have so many memories then in this year 3 kittens came so we fed them but we knew we had to take care for them a little extra so 1 kitten got caught one kitten died when she jumped on a tire and died when thee car started and the other cat also got caught kinda after a few months we found the same cat she didn't remember me at firstthen when i held here ahe started to remember now we let her be free and safe so she does not have to worry about them it was a hard decision

I love seeing stories like this. I have rescued many stray/feral cats personally, meaning I didn't go to a shelter to get them, I actually took them off the street myself. One cat I rescued about 10 years ago with his sister when they were kittens is very attached to me. He hides when people come over but he gives me lots of attention and sleeps next to me every night and loves hugging. So, I can relate to this story. He has brought so much joy and happiness into my life. He's like my child to me. And I believe he thinks I am his parent. I am so glad I got him and his sister off the street before the winter came. I have her still, as well, along with 3 other cats I rescued. Others I have found loving homes. I wish I could rescue them all.
