Tiny Christmas Stocking to Machine Knit by Diana Sullivan

Happy Holidays & Happy Knitting!
There’s still time before Christmas to make this Tiny Christmas Stocking! You can use it for a Christmas tree ornament, a place setting silverware holder, a wrapping for some very special gift, or a package decoration. It takes a very small amount of 2/12 yarn (fingering weight) yarn in white and some other contrasting color. It is super for using up small amounts of colorful, leftover sock yarn.
If you make this small Christmas stocking, well, you’ve learned everything you need to make the larger versions. Diana has a larger version downloadable pattern - see below.

how tight can I get the stitches? Can I make my stitches more like as if I used a 3 or 4 size knitting needles? or is it just one size of stich

You can do two things - set the tension dial tighter and use a thinner yarn. However, the space between the needles will limit how tight you can get. I think you can get tighter than a 3 or 4 handknitting needle.
