@@Rosie_Rosebudno, they did not get stuck. The fish you saw is a triggerfish, they have these spines on their back that they can erect when they get scared. So what they do when a predator is around is they swim into a small crevasse and erect their “trigger” like spine and lodge themselves in the crack so they cannot be pulled out, thus saving them from being eaten.

These are a type of young triggerfish. They usually eat soft corals, so they're just using the wood to hide since they're so much smaller than their adult forms. The guy is lucky he didn't rip the other ones fins off by pulling him out of the hole like that lol

Actually I think that’s how they hide from predators. When you see him pull the fish out there is a fun that shrinks on top of its head that is supposed to keep him in place. A cool thing to see but that’s why they were there, I think they’re called Humuhumunukunukuaquaa fish or something like that.

It's called a trigger fish. Dorsal fin locks up and you cannot push it down.a fin behind it is what you can push down and that's what unlocks the dorsal fin so you can push it down. That is the trigger.
