Tiny Home Treehouse Tour! || Life in Topanga Canyon

I grew up in the Valley, and when I was just 20, all the way back in the early 80's, I had the best Thanksgiving ever in Topanga Canyon. A friend was cabin-sitting there for one of her friends and invited me to keep her company over the holiday. It was pouring buckets and buckets of rain, as it can there. There was a little stream in front of the place due to the rains. It was cold and the only warmth was the oven so we had to crack the door open while the turkey cooked and huddled in front of it. It was the first time either Renee or I cooked a turkey, but with a bit of advice from her mom, we went for it. We made a ridiculous amount of food for two small young women, but it was awesome. The turkey was perfect! The homeowner's dog gave birth to puppies that night too, and she really enjoyed getting to eat turkey as well. It was a bit sad that only the dog could testify to our success, but what an awesome memory! I wish you many blessings there! I still have yet to own my own home. Life just never afforded that possibility, and at 63 as of yesterday, I don't see it being reasonable. I'm happy renting here in the beach cities...I adore mountainy places but being able to enjoy coastal weather is a nice plus too.

btw, I went vegetarian in the 90's and in the past few years went vegan. I don't miss meat at all. But I do still enjoy the memory of feasting with my friend!

I’ve followed you since you started. I’m Ecuadorian and found your video way back then. I’ve watched you on and off thru the years. Resonate with a lot of what you teach. This time how ever it’s been around 2 years since I checked your channel. To see how you’ve matured, your little but spectacular home is so heart warming. We’ve chatted a few times long ago but I was on a different account. In my own way I’m also a light worker. It’s odd but watching this video made me want to simply tell you how proud of you I am. I find that peppermint spray also helps keep bugs & rodents away. So I buy it in gallons. I have also found that charcoal helps with bites!

such beautiful reflections. I used to work in Topanga Canyon. It was truly a protected hidden gem and I was fascinated by the landscape. I lived in Burbank at the time and would travel out to Topanga daily and gosh it was so healing and magical.
