I know of a man who was shot in the forehead with a .22 short from a small revolver in a bar by a woman whom he had assaulted , he survived with a small scar and headach for a few days but was very careful how he behaved around that woman afterwards.

Seems like a candidate for the "Know your limitations" test. 😜 Anything that makes holes in you that you weren't born with will hurt like hell and probably make someone change their mind about wanting whatever it was they wanted from you. Thanks, Buffalo👍

I think it would be useful to create a baseline. Show what the same bullet does from a rifle and maybe a 4-in revolver or pistol then compare it to the mini for each type of Target you use.

That might make a good stand alone video. In this series I am going to stay focused on the little NAA 22s. I might circle back and do a "how barrel length effects the .22 short" video later on though so thanks for the suggestion.

Buffalo! I have one of these and I velocity tested a couple years ago. Here is the average velocity/energy of 5 shot strings in order of power: CCI CB Shorts, 29 Grain Solid: 401fps / 10.4 ft/lbs Winchester Solids, 29 Grain Solid 580 ftps / 21.7 ft/lbs Remington 29 Grain Solid: 684 fps / 30.1 ft/lbs CCI 27 Grain HP: 713 fps / 30.5 ft/lbs Older (maybe early 2000s) Remington 29 Grain Solid: 733 fps / 34.6 ft/lbs Interesting was that the older Remington ammo was quite a bit more powerful than the newer stuff. They are the exact same 29 grain solids, but the box art is slightly different between the older and newer stuff. Also, I shot the older Remingtons at a 2x4, and about half went all the way through (barely), with the other half very close to going through, sometimes bulging the back of the board. And keep in mind, the most powerful break barrel pellet guns on the market right now make 32 to 34 ft/lbs, so it's definitely no joke. Anything that can penetrate a 2x4 would probably do a number on a skull. If you get a chance, shoot some 2x4s with the Remington solids - you might be surprised, especially if you find some of the older stuff. I love that you are doing videos on this cool little revolver! Best gun channel out there!

Subscribed, because apparently great minds think alike...I recently got a NAA Mini in 22LR with the 1 1/8" barrel and have a series of tests and comparisons planned. I'm actually surprised at the results you got in this test (both expansion and penetration). And these little things are more accurate than most folks credit...I've already won a couple lunches from guys who didn't think it was accurate at anything past "across the table" distances LOL. Try full size silhouette targets- I use B27s- at 50 yards...or more. you might be amazed...

I have one of these in .22 LR and I love it. It's loads of fun. I shoot mostly shorts in it, just because they're fun. A deck of cards is pretty tough. I shot a deck with my S&W Model 36 with 2" barrel, using Remington UMC .38 Special 158 grain lead round nose ammunition. The bullet made it about halfway through the deck of cards and flattened out pretty well. I shot another deck with a 9mm 115 gr Speer Gold Dot HP from my Beretta 92FS. It zipped right through the deck.

Yep, I didn't like the way he did that either. That's going to lead to some inaccuracies in comparisons between different rounds. Some of the other channels use better methods, like "Who Tee Who" channel. He does it with paper plates. Then he counts every plate with even the smallest perforation through it until he gets to the one with only a indentation in it.

That’s interesting the box says 1105 fps that’s the same as regular 22lr. I have a opportunity to pick up a savage 1911 boys rifle. It’s chambered in 22 short and it will hold a whole bunch of those shorts. Only issue I have is it’s a very old rifle and it’s missing 1 part It’s a spring that is kinda important. But to get the same velocity out of a short opens up a lot of options.

WOW! I'm really surprised it only went through 10 cards. I guess it's because it contacted a hard but also flexible target that was able to absorb the shock but still expand the bullet. I wish NAA would chamber this gun in 25ACP. The round is semi-rimmed so it can and has been used in revolvers. 25 ACP is centerfire so a more reliable priming system. The 22LR model could be upsized slightly in the cylinder to accomodate the 32 ACP maybe in a 4 round cylinder. Again the 32 ACP is semi-rimmed and can be fired in a revolver. The is would offer not only better primer reliability but also increase power over the 22 LR

Buffalo, this is a great idea! Love that little revolver, been thinking of getting one since your first video on it. Shoot a can of dog food w a hallow tip, that might have a good reaction. 22lr does it good. I always say, your channel is my favorite, thank you for your content! God Bless! 🙏 🙏 🙏

I'm curious what a box of matches would do. Maybe nothing, maybe something. Who knows
