Most of the bus conversions I've seen are done by people with $$$. It's nice to see something with more character, with some soul to it.

I love the layout. You can tell that she renovated three times. In a lot of videos you hear people say things they would have done differently. She just said nope, doesn't work. Then just tore it out and started over again.

Met Heidi at the Clark County Event Center this past weekend. She was very friendly as so graciously showed the features of her bus conversion, including the new awning she had just made for the back of the bus. This is such a cozy little home, and honestly I think she has more counter space than my apartment. Happy travels, Heidi!

She did a really great job, and $11,000 total, including mistakes and the bus, is still a great price! She won't have rent for however long she's there, so even if it's just a year the "rent" isn't crazy to have the freedom to travel in your home for a year.

I love this Bus/Tiny Home! I think she got a good price for her bus 🚌 and obvious she is so creative with her background/degree. I wouldn't change anything except small wheels for the compost toilet because I would not be able to open it without this set-up being easier to open do to my disability issues but she is younger than I so she wouldn't have this problem but I would love her to create the same design as hers and the shower idea sounds clever to me personally 👍👏😍🙏🚌❤️

My only concern with the shower is ventilation and being well dried out afterwards. Without it, I feel she's going to have mold issues and having to replace her cushions. I hope I'm wrong. Perhaps if she opened up all the doors for a good while after showering, maybe it would be enough. 🤔

I really like the bed--it's like the futon in our family room. I've never liked having to convert a dinette into a bed every night, and having it already made and pulled out like a futon at night makes the rear more open as well. It seems more spacious than many other designs, but it's only 20 feet. Genius!

On of the things I love to see watching these videos is just the plain old diversity. You meet so many people with so many different tastes, and what better canvas to show the world your individuality than a literal display of your resource management, artistic style, priorities, and ideals. And when who you are is a mobile display, it's so easy to connect with these people

You like the idea of taking a shower and allowing it to just drain out onto the ground? Polluting the area the bus is parked in? That's sounds OK to you?
@learningtobevegan83077 жыл бұрын
Steve Mazz there are soaps you can buy that doesn’t hurt the environment, going camping we would buy these soaps and use them in the rivers. If you eat meat & don’t practice zero-waste I’m sure you are hurting the environment more than I am, because I’m on a WFPBNO diet & I practice zero-waste, and I do live less than 250sq ft And one more thing you can have a grey water tank hooked up under the stairs, so the grey water wouldn’t fall on to the ground. Or when showing you can place a bucket under the stair to catch the water. There are many opinions you can do with this. All I said I like the shower idea being where the stairs are, I think you guys need to chill out.

The way skoolies are growing, all the camp grounds that turned us away, even though what we have built would put a lot of prefabs to shame, are going to start kicking themselves. Yay Heidi!! This is the best because she has a way of creating income, there is no rent, and she is free to travel. She has transportation (no rental)🚗, lodging (no hotel)🏢, and her kitchen (saves money by not eating out)🍽 all in one. Also, with the short bus, she has more parking and access availabilities than if she had an RV or regular bus for a home. Smart thinking and Valerie looks awesome! Safe and great memorable travels to you! 🤗🙅🏕🏜🏖🥂🙄😊

I watch these to get ideas that make sense. The kitchen sink tub, great idea. Given more thought I can expand on this idea. I'm thinking a portable sink with a fold away counter top or one that converts to another usable station. A bus is on my list but so is a utility trailer.

Thank you for the confirmation, I had also thought the stairway would be the perfect unused space to house tue shower with a curtain.
