Good advise with the hips!! I recently focused on real nuki technicque in hayasuburi, means moving your whole body and it is very hard. But I hope it will bring my kendo to higher level. Nice to know that someone else does the same:)

Fantastic Videos thank you for producing them. May I recommend a Shotgun Microphone connected to your camera (if possible) it would greatly help the clarity of your audio.

thanks for these tips for hayasuburi! I have a problem doing hayasuburi because my arms are faster than my legs. How can I fix my timing so my arms and legs move together fast?

I find when teaching beginners splitting it into two parts helps :) Taylor

And as always thank you very much for this video. I think i'm one of the people who make the hayasuburis with small step and let always the shinai drob behind. I think the next weeks will be painful :) But the worst problem of my suburis is the breath, at the moment my limit are 60 in 2 sets (30 each) after them i got no breath anymore and my shoulders are burning like hell :) so then HAJIME! :)

Keep up the good work. Reminded me that quality over quantity is best. Please keep posting up the videos!

That is why we practise. I'm sure not even Bennet-Sensei had it easy when he took his first lessons! ;-) Practise, make yourself stronger and more confident, and you will get to the next level.

whenever i do hayasuburi my left leg (calf and foot) starts to hurt so bad i have to stop midway. Any ideas how I can strengthen my left leg?
@luketeal10769 жыл бұрын
eqilibrium when i first started my calf started to hurt so bad as well. i had to adjust my posture as well as my weight distribution. There is a really good book by geoff simons, on the basic of kendo for beginners. it covers all the points as well as it covers maintenance of your shinai and bogu
