The fact that this is a normal cause of death in wild goats is terrifying edit: I know they usually rub their horns on rocks etc to avoid it. My point is that when it sometimes does happen in the wild there are no humans to save them, and after a certain point they'll be unable to save themselves too. It must be terrifying having what was meant to be your defense mechanism, slowly turn to be your doom
@haralmas
@haralmas Жыл бұрын
In wild they rub their horn against rocks and rough surfaces. It's in their instinctual mindset. The same goes with any mammal and ancient humans nails and toenails. Rub on hard surface.

Not really he was more likely mad than relieved. Horns growing into their eyes has been documented in history as far back as 1000 BC it's a natural process that tells the goat that it's time has come and he is just supposed to accept it. Now that the people intervened and postponed the process he was irritated and stressed and likely jumped of a cliff.

@marekb1556
@marekb1556 Ай бұрын
Ik this is a joke but it's a good example of how evolution works. It's not a concious "mother nature" like being that gives us useful stuff. It's just a series of mutations that are RANDOM and environment where you gotta hunt or be hunted to survive until you get the chance to reproduce. The random mutations either help you or kill you. If they help you, you pass the genes to the next guy. So evolution doesn't provide us free gifts, what proved useful for the guy before us might be useless or even detrimental to us in our lives

I think most creatures probably have a feature that helps them, yet backfires eventually. For humans, standing upright helps us throw objects with precision and let’s us see far away for prey and predators. Downside: Majority of us will have back problems sooner or later.

Not only our backs, the biggest thing is how tolling childbirth and pregnancy are, then theres also foot problems, back problems ofc, and a lot of our organs are badly protected… basically just evolution only covering consistently deadly issues
@WafflesssFalling
@WafflesssFalling Жыл бұрын
@@victor-kafka actually they reason it’s dangerous is because humans have such large heads. We developed that bc of our intelligence, which in turn made childbirth painful and difficult. Not to mention we’re meant to give birth while squatting rather than laying down. We switched to laying down bc of King Louis XIV, who was creepy and wanted to watch it happen… so now we give birth that way instead of the way we’re meant to
