The fact that this is a normal cause of death in wild goats is terrifying edit: I know they usually rub their horns on rocks etc to avoid it. My point is that when it sometimes does happen in the wild there are no humans to save them, and after a certain point they'll be unable to save themselves too. It must be terrifying having what was meant to be your defense mechanism, slowly turn to be your doom

In wild they rub their horn against rocks and rough surfaces. It's in their instinctual mindset. The same goes with any mammal and ancient humans nails and toenails. Rub on hard surface.

Horns growing into their eyes has been documented in history as far back as 1000 BC it's a natural process that tells the goat that it's time has come and he is just supposed to accept it. @marekb1556Ай бұрын
Ik this is a joke but it's a good example of how evolution works. It's not a concious "mother nature" like being that gives us useful stuff. It's just a series of mutations that are RANDOM and environment where you gotta hunt or be hunted to survive until you get the chance to reproduce. The random mutations either help you or kill you. If they help you, you pass the genes to the next guy. So evolution doesn't provide us free gifts, what proved useful for the guy before us might be useless or even detrimental to us in our lives
