Tips for Air Force BMT

Disclaimer: I am NOT an MTI nor do I claim to be one. This video is former trainee tips for YOU when you leave for Air Force BMT. These are the main things we feel you should know. Good luck to everyone who is leaving i wish you the best! Remember your reporting statement, shaving and always stand at attention when addressing anyone that isnt another trainee. I hope you guys join and serve in the worlds greatest Air Force. Joining was the best choice I've ever made and the Air Force is now my family and I hope it will be yours too. Again good luck!

I'm not in the Air Force and since I'm old I doubt I ever will be. But a friend of mind has been an MTI for a while and I got curious about how much different BMT is that the boot camp I went through in the Marines. I say all of that because even though the actual words are different the situations are still the same and I laughed my tail off this whole time. Great video.

It will go by quick for your family, for you it will be the longest two months of your life. At first the hours feel like days, the days weeks. i started counting the time by meals, eventually by beast week youll count by sundays (the only rest day). But yeah, it was easy, just follow orders. The worst part of bmt is actually the other trainees, bunch of DBAs

Did you say to say proceeding sir when given a command? I noticed he did say proceeding sir sometimes but then sometimes he didn't and you were okay with it. ( mostly in the beginning ) So when exactly are we supposed to say it, is it all commands or? Also, say we are called up by an MTI ( He yells VASQUEZ ) , I come to him, I need to be at position of attention and say "sir trainee Vasquez, reports as ordered", correct? Thanks in advance!

AznSunnay If you're not already in basic I'll tell you to watch Kyle Gott's videos here on KZbin. He tells you exactly what to bring and how many of them. It'll take some extra money but it will be worth it in the long run.

@MartinProductions I am going to be going into the Air Force after I graduate college in 2 years. I'm not physically fit though.... :/ do you have any suggestions for me that I can do? I have a lot of lower body strength but hardly any upper. I heard from a friend of mine who is in the Air Force that if you aren't physically fit, they still admire spirit and motivation. :)

They do! but unfortunately PT test failures (depending on your job field) can be a real issue. I would attempt to get a personal trainer and work on your upper body and do a mock PT test once a week or once every two weeks to see where you are. Good luck!

Emily Kaffenberger some jobs are very physical. Others not at all, so if you fail but you have a desk job then it's kinda understandable. Not ok but it's understandable. If you're a cop? No excuse
