We brought Kiwi, our High Red Green cheek parrot home and we wanted nothing more than to make him happy! The very first and most important thing that we did was to work on building a relationship of trust with our bird. Here are the top three tips for building trust with your new or long time resident bird.

Everytime I watch one of these videos, it says, feed them through the bar! Gain it’s trust! But that’s the problem, they don’t come near me for me to do so

Definitely! Kiwi comes out quite a bit during the day....as much as we can possibly and safely allow! :-) It's only fair to him!

I have a conure she won't come near me in her cage yet had her for almost 2 weeks I do talk to her and I do try to feed her through the bars and she won't let me lol

I made it! It is made from PVC pipe that I picked up at the local hardware store! It is covered is the tape they use for bandaging (found at the local drug store)

You absolutely have much to learn. Don't understand why you would want to make an instructional video on bird care. But god bless you and enjoy your new baby. Gcc are very forgiving and resilient
