I will definitely try again with a wrapping of head scarves! Foam rollers overnight just give the best results for me.

I have foam rollers too and at night I always have to take them off because I can’t stand the discomfort. Could you please give me an update on your experience with the head scarves?

@@barb8341 I haven't gotten around to more experiments yet, since I have to be very careful, about when to risk a night with bad sleep. I'll try to remember posting something, when I have.

@@barb8341 So, I did give it a go yesterday. I just used a long, thin silk scarf and wrapped it firmly around my head. It didn't really provide any padding, but it did keep the rollers firmly in place, which took away a lot of discomfort already. And I switched to a soft, fluffy pillow (I think my firm 'neck support' pillow was the main reason, I experienced so much discomfort. Loads better. I only woke up once or twice (which I often do), not every half hour and no headache or sore scalp. I'll give the thicker wrapping a try, too. Got beautiful curls as well!

@@raraavis7782 Thank you so much for giving me the update! I do wonder if a thicker wrapping would help even more, I´ve tried the one scarf wrapping but it´s just uncomfortable. One thing i´ve notice (which is pretty obvious) is that the less hair you wrap on each roller, the less they hurt because it doesn´t create that hair "lump" around it.

@@barb8341 Yes, I'm using a lot of rollers, because I have insanely thick hair and also like to wrap it quite damp. It's just makes the wrapping much easier at my current length and skill level. They pretty much sit right next to each other. I have 20 foam rollers and use almost all of them, even though the hair in my neck is still too short to roll. Unfortunately I can't sleep on my back, so I can't even take advantage of that fact 😆. I think, a thicker wrap might be too warm for me, though. I live in a studio apartment, so I can't keep my bedroom nice and cool, like most people do.

What rollers are you wearing in this video? They look like they hold nice and tight!

Do you have any tips on preserving your curls the night after you slept with your roller set? Do you put them back in? Do you just use a hair net? 🧐
@DafnaBarel2 жыл бұрын
Yes I would definitely recommend re-rolling them if you want to get another day or two out of the set! Even just with hair clips or whatever is the fastest for you.. the hair will usually roll much quicker when you re-roll an existing roll set

Thanks for the answer, @@DafnaBarel! I'll give it a try!

Can sleeping in curlers overnight in bed affect the results?
@alana077 Жыл бұрын
They do affect the results. The longer rollers are in your hair the more defined the curls will be and they’ll last longer

I don’t have the time and patience for 20 min “tutorials”. Give me tips for no longer then 5 mins spoken with pictorials or video instructions.😂
