Hi, I am from Lahore where right now it is very cold but in February we are going to start the next gardening cycle for summer. I have a question about Rice Bran usage in rooftop gardening Can we use it raw, few suggest that 10-50% can be mixed in the soil, what's your say on it? Someone told me that fermented rice bran is much better then using raw rice bran, can you tell me how to use fermented rice bran as fertilizer?

Raw rice bran is often used. In that case, spray 200ml per square meter and mix well. Then let it ferment for at least two weeks. I think fermented rice bran is good. However, rather than fermenting rice bran alone, it is more effective as a fertilizer if it is mixed with organic matter such as oil cake powder and fermented together. In Japan, this kind of fermented fertilizer is called "Bokashihi". This "bokashihi" is an organic fertilizer that can be used not only as the first fertilizer, but also as a supplementary fertilizer.
