A good show. I was aware of alignment and pinching, but not the positioning of the sub-fence, which makes complete sense and seems so obvious now. Regards, Glenn. :-)

I gave up using a track saw for a anything other than rough cutting of sheets, it was just too much adjusting to get things square, so I got the AC216TS with cabinet and sliding table, I love it, it is exactly what I expected it to be, precise and consistent.

That’s a really nice little table saw. I enquired about it two years back and one of you guys at Axminster advised me against it for my workshop because it wasn’t trade rated for professional use. Something to do with expected motor life not being up to an hours use per day. Shame really. On my tight budget I bought a Charnwood W650 instead and whilst really quite good the one thing that is unforgivable about it is inadequate dust collection. Most sawdust ends up dumped on the ground within the cabinet. Should have paid extra for the 16A Axminster professional saw or Laguna Fusion 3 and now wished I had.

I have had this saw for a few weeks now , I went with the metal leg stand rather than the cabinet as I intended to fit the smaller chip extractor underneath the saw . It works very well and allows the saw and extractor to fit in the same footprint ,with only the dust bag inflating below the sliding carriage.

If you really want, you can mount the 'left'-hand extension on the right for extra cut capacity for your fence to slide to. Lookup Badger Workshop and his AC216TS he's done the modifications. Haven't gotten around to it myself but plan to! Definitely need vertical support towards the end to prevent sagging though. I'll be mounting a router in the extension table to make a poor mans Work Station :)

Brought my TS216 a year ago and have never made one cut on it as I could not get the sliding table set up so gave up and put the saw in the corner of the shop

Made a fool of myself saying why are there no dado blades!!…came in late and after re-watching it I realised that there are dado blades and they were mentioned early in the video….doh! 😂

38:20 you tilted the blade only to 30 degrees not to 45. I'm really not convinced that zero clearance will allow 45 degrees
