Great job on the one surface side. You didn’t mention the inner edge sides. Now you will need to remove the door and fender so you can access the back side and smooth those areas out as well. Because after welding the edge you will have a very rough inner edge that needs dressing. Unless you just hide those bad edges you just created. Some people are okay with that. But when that door opens you can see the inner edge of both door and fender. Worse you will be able to feel the uneven a welded inner edge. Perhaps when you take it apart later to paint you can address these areas. Great tutorial for those that are curious on how this is done. Good job.
