Thanks Sara. I bought those boxes and I love using them for different things. I keep my vinyl scraps in one and I am trying to learn to keep a current project in one as well. Better than to box I was using. I look forward to seeing your progress on this quilt . Enjoy your day.

Happy to see you back Sarah. I love organization and I too store my projects very much the same as you. Inventoried and labeled. Happy Stitching!

I love those project boxes! I agree with the advantages you mentioned but another thing I love about them is the handles. I use a couple of the boxes for hand sewing projects to take to quilt guild and a sit, sew, and chat group I belong to. Just the right size for the fabrics and thread I carry as well as the little case I keep my grab and go tools in. Just pop the tool case into the bin and out the door I go. I also use the boxes to store a pattern and fabric as I collect it for a future project. That way when I finally find that last perfect fabric none of the others are missing. And the case is easy to take along to the fabric store to find the coordinating fabric I need.

You’re absolutely right, they are perfect for taking sewing projects on the go and I can’t believe I haven’t thought of that. 😂 thank you for letting me know. Have a wonderful day

Good morning Sarah. I am glad things are on an upswing for you. Well I have never heard of alphabitties before. What an excellent idea. I use sticky notes that don’t always stay where they are supposed to. The colors you have chosen for the quilt are beautiful. I hope we get to see the finished quilt.

Thank you Susan. I’ll be back in my sewing room as time allows. We are definitely doing better but still a lot of things that need sorting so I may not be as consistent as I’d like to be as I’ll be spending more time with my dad as he adjusts to living alone. Time will heal.

@@SarasQuiltingJourney Oh my…I’ll keep your father in my prayers as he adjusts to this new way of living. It’s so hard. We moved my mom into a Memory Care home mid-January, so my dad is doing a similar adjustment. His wife is still here, but it’s a different life for them. As a daughter, I sympathize with all you are trying to do. But it sounds like you are doing it all right. So do what your heart tells you, and hopefully the sewing will help in your healing process.♥️

Those boxes are great but they're $60 each here on Amazon (Australia) and I've never seen them in a real shop. I have found some cheaper similar boxes, but the latches pop open easily. I organise my projects the same way you do, it really helps.

That is crazy that they would cost so much more there. I pay a bit more here in Canada than they are in the USA but that’s a lot more.
