Hi their... Some good information their for me to think of. I began my archery on recurve in UK. Part of proper recurve form teaches the need to set the bow shoulder forward and down for maximum stability and protection long term of the shoulder joint. As i moved to compound i immediately noticed the difference in form. After a numner of years of shooting compound ive found a healthy balance between the two techniques is necessary to prevent the front shoulder from creeping back at full draw. I also feel its simply a case of activating the rhomboid at full draw on the draw arm for a slow steady increase of tension to activate my trigger (carter 2 simple) this then gives the surprise unanticipated shot. Ive found stabilisation combined with a relaxed (not bent) front elbow at full draw to give a very steady hold.

Meditation and qi gong (moving meditation) will help greatly with steadiness and stability. It's not the easy way, but it brings about great benefits

I am new to archery, could like to ask or request about the compound bow. Am planning to buy Pro Froce FX, DW 50-60 and DL 28. How to select arrows (i.e. vanes, points, sharft and insert). our target range will be around 150 to 200 mtrs.
@rcrchery5 жыл бұрын
I use a program from a company called On Target 2, OT2. This allows me to input all my information for my bow as well as arrow specs to adjust into a rage of effectiveness for my arrow set up.

I wanna ask about how you keep your left hands still when shooting. So like when you are ready to shoot and you release, I usually shake a little causing the arrow to move around.

Im assuming ur right handed like the host. Your prob Pulling too much weight or your draw length is incorrect. Try not to Gripping tightly with multiple fingers instead of just useing primarily ur thumb and index. Some people like Check to see that the fingers line up to a 45 degree angle to the bow. How long are you holding?
@richardarmitage59766 жыл бұрын
Does performing the release with a bit of extra tension do you wear out the dloop faster.
@rcrchery6 жыл бұрын
As long as there are no burrs or rough spots on your release then no you'll be okay.

Hi! I’m completely new to archery and I’ve been watching a few videos on how to shoot and hold it. At times when I pull back the string to release the aarow, the string snaps my arm that I’m using to hold the bow, what am I doing wrong?
@rcrchery5 жыл бұрын
That's normally a grip issue. I have some videos here on form and also grip that can help illustrate what you're needing to replicate to keep your forearm out of the string path.
