Our first trip after getting a new set of tires on our duals, about 50 miles down the road we heard a kuhbump, kuhbump, kuhbump... I thought it was the concrete in the road, but turned onto a side road and it continued. Pulled into our destination, didn't see anything wrong... I pushed on it... Wiggle wiggle. The lugs had all come loose on one side to the point of almost falling off. Nobody said anything about retorque. Now we know!

Great video Yvan. Once I get my bus on the road, I plan to get new tires and maintain them as you have suggested. I really like your TPMS system too, and the air balancing that is taking place between the duels. Great ideas for everyone to heed!

I drive truck for a living, this is information every fleet owner needs to listen too. A pre-trip is only good for the first minute of the trip, after that it’s up to the drivers feel and ears. If my dispatch won’t get one, I could get it for myself and at least know what’s going on with the steers.

Thank you , agreed a pre-trip is just that, before the trip.

Taking advise from someone running ironman tires is like taking financial advise from a gambler. You'll never know when you get burned but will most likely get burned

I follow Ivan on his detailing channels as well. If I had teachers like him in high school, I would have been motivated to attend university.

Many people underestimate the importance of tires! They influence every aspect of your vehicle's performance. Acceleration, handling, emergency maneuvers, and braking (all safety-related) are only as good as your tires will let it. This influence is exponentially worse in bad weather! ALWAYS buy the best tires regardless of price. It will pay off when you need it the most!

I am thankful for you putting out this video. I will be heading out to take a closer look at my tires. I am hoping you will take a look with me at the Swarm in the Smokies too. Who would be able to put on the PTMS system or the cross tire pressure system or the Safe T steer, meaning a mechanic, tire shop? Is it a DIY project?

All are DIY friendly.

Can you recommend a tire protection product that I can use instead of covers?

@@LacroixCruiser Such great info. Never knew about the Safe T Plus. So when you get new tires you spray them inside & out then install? And is it worthwhile filling with nitrogen?
@LacroixCruiser2 жыл бұрын
Nitrogen is great, we treat our tires to protection at every rotation( 10,000 miles).

You mention on the rear tires you inflate at a different pressure due to weight. Where did you find that info for different weights vs tire pressure?
@LacroixCruiser2 жыл бұрын
Your tire manufacturer will have a chart to compare weight vS pressure.

Great video. How does crossfire work with Tpms? Do you one sensor on the crossfire stem or one on each stem and attach the cross fire to those? Thanks again. Mark
@LacroixCruiser Жыл бұрын
2 sensors, they read between tire and crossfire

Nice video! What brand and model of torque wrench do you use? Need to get one for our bus.
