It’s not NAS.. it’s NASH- Non Alcoholic steato hepatitis..non alcoholic cirrhosis is liver failure that’s the terminal stage. Where as NASH is early stage before cirrhosis
Dear Teacher, Mr. Tissa Jananayake - Thank you very much for your very valuable information re: fatty liver. This vital information would assist many people not for those who live in Sri Lanka but right around the world where all Sri Lankans live. I live in Melbourne, Australia and this would help me as well. I walk an hour daily. In my case it's not serious, according to our family doctor I do not have to worry at all. This is the problem in this country always doctors tell their patients not to worry but when it becomes serious then they act promptly. I have been living here for the last 38 years. Certainly, the Dr did not request me to walk but I walked for many years. Perhaps this could be the reason my fatty liver did not progress to G2. Unfortunately, we do not have that particular "Yakinaran Kola" to drink here. I have been walking for well over 15 years, but the recent US (ultrasound) test done 2-3 weeks ago still indicated, my fatty liver still exists but not progressed to G2 or increased at all. But surprisingly the fatty liver my wife had last year had disappeared completely on the recent US (ultrasound) report as it was done 2-3 weeks back. My wife walks 40 minutes a day whereas I walk an hour a day. But I do consume alcohol moderately. However, when I come Sri Lanka this year, I must find that Yakinara Kola. Once again thank you for your great information. God Bless You !!!!
Your explanation , on carbohydrate and lipid metabolism is wrong. Please dont explain these things if you dont know medicine. I dont know much in microbiology but as a doctor , I have to guide the people who watch this video. If you do a brisk walk 30 min per day for 5 days, that would be the minimum recommend exercise. If you can go beyond that, that is a bonus. The biochemistry which explains the fatty liver is called metabolic syndrome. Excess carbs will be stored as fat anyway. So if there is need of rapid energy boost , your glycogen will be burnt , but in the same time this will be stored as fat in liver if you dont use it (not only as glycogen). Read on Lipincotts and Harpers biochemistry you can understand what I said.
