Aside from the pleasing aesthetics of this wristwatch, the timekeeping capability of it is remarkable. If I set it at 0" in the morning it has barely gained a second by bedtime. (If I leave it on the table it will gain about 5" in 24 hours). Now, if I keep it on my wrist for 72 hours straight it only gains about 1". The Silicon hairspring version of the Powermatic 80 is truly a wonderful machine. This is a consistent observation over a 30 month period.

One of my favorite in my collection. I personally love the bracelet, nice and shiny and fits great. The cross hair gives it a different look that I don't have in another watch. Great watch!

Have this exact watch and love it! I regularly rotate between this piece and a sunburst blue PRX. Such great easy to wear watches that are versatile for most situations that definitely punch above their $

I've found that a 22mm leather strap will often fit a 21mm watch. Leather compresses if you rub it on a hard surface a few times. Try it with an old strap to see if it works for you.

Beauty watch release from Tissot. I understand the butterfly issue. I am not a huge fan but I’ve got a couple of sweet watches like the Hamilton Intra-matic , A PRX and the Gentleman and you can see where they were able to cost cut without taking away how great the piece looks. Pretty tough to beat for the price w/ that movement. Thanks RR

Powermatic has been my daily wearer for over a year, I love it, but like you Rob hate the 21mm lug width, It really prevents me from throwing all my favorite straps onto it.

Mine is running -1 to 1 sec/day so the movement is really good IMO. Also Tissot offers the leather straps for around 80 bucks which are really good quality black, brown etc.

I have this watch and I've enjoyed it immensely. My only real complaint with it is the polishing on the bracelet. I've been thinking about having a jeweler brush out the center links for me. Its a scratch magnet

Yes, Rob: Definitely include the cons -- tank it to the next level. I sold my Longines Conquest because I coolant get a good fit with that butterfly clasp. Basically comes down to luck with those. Dig the green.

A great watch. Compeeting with the big ones. But hobestly I wish tgey would had the bracelett little more better. It fits optically, but on my wrist the sharp corners and ankles were little bit uncomfortable. It feels like half way finished. Otherwise this watch would be perfect. But still an awesome watch. I've bought the Titanium champagne with quarz movement. It fits much more comfortable. But the dimensions are not the same as the automatic.

Real good watch. I own it with the blue dial, but I changed the bracelet to a black leather strap. Tissot sells the Gentleman also with a leather strap, but it is not so easy to find. I don´t know why.

I usually go for mesh with my Tissot. I wear mine for dressy(ish) occasions, and I think it looks pretty good.

Where did you find a high-quality mesh bracelet in 21 mm? I checked with Staib and they did not have that off size.

It's so silly to ditch the bracelet because of polished centre links..just take a scouring pad to it for 6 minutes and it will brush it out. You won't even know it came with polished centre links. Did it to my seiko flightmaster bracelet. It looks great now. All those wasted binned terrific flightmaster bracelets, for five minutes work.

I like this green dial version of Tissot Gentleman most of all. Currently Belk is offering 20% all Tissot Watches which would lower the price for this watch to $620. You could always buy a Seiko Sharp Edge watch which is often to compared to the Tissot but that watch is $1000 and has a fold over clasp. Personally for me I'd rather have the fold over clasp.

I own one. The bracelet is the kill stroke. 21mm with no taper and a sharp edge. Super uncomfortable. Plus terrible lume.

Yep, can confirm. I replaced the bracelet with a nice Rado strap, and that helped. For me, the hands that look like they are just slightly folded flat steel (they are, but they LOOK like it a lot) are also kind of a buzzkill. It sucks too, because the watch mechanically is very nice, and keeps amazing time.

There are versions without that on the dial. Those have just a sunburst dial and come in blue, black and I believe this green as well but I am not 100% sure on the green. I have the blue.

Not really affordable, the polished bracelet and bezel will stay polished for about 0.5 days, printing is oversized, and the powermatic’s 80 hours come at the cost of the much more beautiful 28.800 bph. No thanks, close but no cigar!
