Tissue is so amazing. Rhino Grasshopper is truly impressive but also with how complex it is. Thats why I like workflows like Tissue being so easy to keep in memory.

Awesome add-on! This same thing is doable in vanilla blender with geometry nodes either with per face coordinates like here or with a UV Map as a reference, I use it when talking a flat cloth sim and creating knitted geometry from it. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, it probably would be very doable with geo-nodes. I haven't taken much time to learn it. I think for this basic purpose Tissue is so easy to use for most people who aren't familiar with Goe Node. I only scratched the surface of its abilities here.

Yeah, I accidentally got that point and didn't notice when recording. But it just added a bit of organic topology to the mesh. Happy accident :-)

I remember uaing this addon many years ago. I was baffled by ehat it could do. Such amazing peodxut and free even. Ps your method in making that pattern object is just genious. The way you used the bevek fynxtion to create that cross hatch is simply genius

Your videos, the precision level modeling are a treat to watch. Really learn so much from this channel. But i have a small request in ur fresnel effect video, please explain the effect, as i m not good with science and physics of the effect. Really wish to learn in depth

Do the models created using plugins in Blender like these work well in Unreal Engine? As in, do these features carry over into that engine well will there be issues?

Dear Chris, I don't know if this would interest you as an upcoming tutorial, but I'd like to see how you would approach building a coconut chair. After many experiments I made one last year, ending up using grid fill as the most important step, but it has since seemed to me that there must be more, and better, methods to creating this chair. Thank you in advance :)

Just only for making mesh like that, there is simpler way than using Tissue add-on. (extra curve object) Add - Curve - Knots - Celtic links. This will automatically generate exact same mesh in a second.
Connect two objects using the Data Transfer modifier, it's cool!
