Good job. I have a Titian attachments stump bucket and have used it on a skid steer and my farm tractor. It works best on the skid steer. I live in north Georgia, and we have lots of rock and hilly ground and personally I feel it does not work as well here as it does in the area you live. A task I have found that the stump bucket works good for is digging drainage ditches. Keep up the great videos.

Nice attachment and I can see the benefit in it if you didn't have a backhoe or don't want to spring for one, however I would like to know how it would work in a tight spot? a lot of the stumps I did out with the backhoe or in heavily wooded areas with little maneuvering room.

OK, now that you said you're in the FL panhandle, that clarifies what you're digging. I grew up there (by Blue Angel Parkway in Escambia county before it was built), and hand dug a lot of southern yellow pine stumps. Those things call for a good tool. Thank you for doing this video. I am considering ordering this stump bucket and would appreciate your opinion. Do you think it's the right size for my TYM 474, it's a 48 HP but not as heavy duty as your Mahindra. I just cut down 8 Braddford pear trees and want to remove the stumps (16 in across the top) next week. One last question: Is that a regualr quick attach because I heard you say you had to grind it down to attach it.
@HamiltonvilleFarm
@HamiltonvilleFarm Жыл бұрын
I think you’ll be ok. You just have to be patient. If the trees have a long tap root, it’s not the best tool. But if a shallow root system it will work fine. Don’t treat it like a bill dozer and risk bending your loader, just work it nice and slow and easy and it will work fine.

I'll try to help save you some time. Try using it on a standing tree if you're clearing land. Pick the direction that looks best, dig out the back and sides A LITTLE not a lot. Just to the point where you can push it over. The weight of the tree will pop out the stump. I've not had one of these buckets but I am getting one for clearing pasture. The small trees multi rose thorn bushes I'll just pop right out, now I have to use the corner of the bucket and if you're not just right you dig out more than you need. Then take the ones that are just fat enough for firewood, use the real bucket to push the brush into a burn pile, then go back for the large ones and maybe sell the good ones.

I see no way possible this is faster than the backhoe attachment on my Mahindra. I could do the same thing much quicker and only have to move my tractor two times. Thumb on backhoe would lift that puppy right out of the much smaller hole too. Additionally, that attachment will NOT work in rocky ground as it would just skip off of the rocks. Great video Hank and Gina. I have been eagerly waiting to see the stump bucket in action. It is awesome. I have no idea what those alien creatures are. I have never seen anything like them here in North Carolina. Looking forward to the Oak tree stump. It should be easier. Pines are a pain. Enjoyed and thanks for sharing.
