Stormgate misses so much of what the point of an RTS is. DoW3 is largely abandoned now but it still nailed the things Stormgate is struggling with right now. It uses the correct camera angle, not too high but still top down, Listen to those sounds, the unit responses, guns, effects, lasers, etc. Perfect. The crunchiness of unit attacks, animation and sound, while SG everything sounds and hits like wet noodles. Readability of units. The Spacemarines/Imperium actually takes itself series but the Orks are also self-aware at the jokes - appropriate amount of humor for the setting - SG doesnt even treat its basic worker with respect and calls it BOBs. Then finally the ridiculous epic tier 3 units. DoW 3 had its problems, but in many respects they still understood the assignment. DoW looks and feels good to play its just sad it was abandoned.

@@pencilswordfish Yup :/ Nothing exciting at all going on in SG for now. Too bad DoW was not targeted to be/become a competitive game because I like the art and I like the universe.

O que falta nesses jogos é o realismo de batalha, soldados feridos, recarregar as armas, terem local para se abrigar, expressões humanas quando leva um tiro, proporção de tamanho... essas coisas que faltam para ser um jogo nota 10.

I wish the knights rapid fire battle cannon was more.... rapid. The damn thing gets 1d6+3 attacks or twice that amount when close. Not 1 shot every 37 seconds

imperial fists are yellow tho aren't they, also the insignia on the orange paladin seems to resemble the griffith/griffin noble house. Im not sure which noble house the greeen palading belongs to nor which faction it fights for.

​@@andrewa2275 Because of spoiled nerds review bombing the game. They said it was too different from the first games of the series. You can check it out in it's Steam reviews. Bunch of stupid. I played this game a lot, it's really a shame.

@@andrewa2275 Not enough players. Warhammer by definition is for nerds with its grimdark and rich lore. This game just dumbed everything down way too much. I saw an video showing the game promoters yelling "big robots!" not knowing the imperial of man is explicitly against using robots. Space marines die a lot in this game whereas in the lore they were treated like angels or even gods. It's the lack of attention to such details that doomed the game. It might be a serviceable generic RTS, but RTS in general has been in decline for a long time. It's not a very good tournament game like Starcraft either.
