Hi, very nice explanation. What about the Ubiquity Unify Controller which is a DHCP server itself? How to manage the MikroTik being a DHCP server for Unify Controller and all Ubiquity APs which UnifyController is DHCP server itself providing different network to clients? I guess this is not possible, that somehow the bridge should be defined for the case as well, but I am not sure. Your answer will be appreciated.

sir im having a problem catering a 300 client with RB4011 and UAP-AC-LR do you have any suggestions? My current speed is 300mbps the UAP-AC-LR only transmits 45mbps directly from RB4011 with 1 meter UTP cable and declining as a no. of users connected increases (take note: no limit on speed per client), 30 meters speedtest from laptop to MT tru UTP cable is 100% stable so network problem is not the problem. But when using UAP-AC-LR on a number of clients drops the connection to 128kbps - 2mbps per client

My mikrotik router has a built in Poe port. So do I need external 24 volt Poe adapter to connect access point? thanks.
@matthewlovibond9006 жыл бұрын
I've not played around with PoE on Mikrotik but I believe it depends on exactly what router your have. There's the official 802.3af/at poe standard which is 48V, then there are unofficial "passive poe" standards at up to 30/57V and the mikrotik wiki says support varies from device to device. I think with passive poe it's probably safest to use the official injector supplied by the manufacturer but I may well just be spreading FUD.

Create a schedule that runs continuously, although it will slow down your router.
