Last stream was 3 hours long! I know I'm crazy...
But you don't have to watch it all, here's a less than 20 minutes "small" cut for you, talking about negative camber can make your car faster and your tyres happier!
Full stream here: • Alignment, electronic ...
In my stream I demonstrated some of the alignment settings in the great real time web app calculators of www.racingaspirations.com

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU 🙏 🙏🙏 I’ve read numerous articles, and watched a ton of videos about setups and aspects of tuning. A lot of them go into details, but I’ve never seen any of them go as deep into it as you have. Your series of videos from your streams are a game changer for me. You explain things in such a way that I can easily understand. Now, I look at my setups from a completely different standpoint, and my lap times and overall driving skills have improved greatly. I really appreciate what you’re doing. Can’t thank you enough!!!!

Good to know. :) I'm new to ACC and my choice of car (Lexus) always has very low differences between the inside and the outside (2-4 C degrees) and until now I thought this is how it supposed to be and it's perfect. :) Now I know I need more negative camber. This was probably the reason why I'm slow until now. :D

There is obviously a limit of negative camber where over it you start losing grip. But modern slick tyres usually work at very high numbers of negative camber (-5 and -6 non uncommon). For safety reasons, Pirelli limits the negative camber to -4 and -3.5 degrees front and rear by rules, and they are pretty low numbers for such tyres and cars, so it's quite safe to go to max negative camber values and just play on decimals around those values for balancing the car.

Hi thanks for this amazing content , as well as all the other streams (by the way, I've not seem them all yet) ! There is something I'm unsure on this video : you speak about temperature, camber lost, roll, but not that much about the impact on the driving. Does it have no impact on it ? Other question : is it correct to say that all the camber should be lost on the corner of the track that has the most lateral G force ? Thx !

Well, it all comes down to driveability. When creating the set-up it is all about making the car+driver combo as fast as possible. So it does impact the driving, but you more or less need to figure out yourself what you want. Some drivers like harder set-ups, other drivers like softer set-ups. Some drivers like more oversteer, others more understeer. You don't have 1 set-up for every track that is best for all. So it all has a very big impact on the driving, but it is difficult to explain. In short, the right amount of camber for a specific track will give you best grip in the corners. On your second question, as with all of the above, it depends. It depends on the aero of the car, the conditions, how the other corners are... Don't make a set-up for 1 corner, there is no point in gaining 0.2s in 1 corner, just to lose 0.4s in all other corners because the set-up isn't correct for those.

Aris, your videos are great and a valuable introduction to car setup. However I have a question. (tbh I am on Iracing and not ACC), I am mainly driving the MX5 and i have this huge problem i cannot seem to fix no matter what I do. The outside front tyre always gets super hot and gains pressure very fast while the inner rear tyre remains very cold (in reality both rear tyres are generally colder but the inner one is supercold). Also in camber values no matter how low I set my camber even at lowest value I can go and many times i raise the suspension to go under 1 degree in some tracks, on that inner rear tyre there is always a significant difference on the temperature reading with the inner tread being significantly hotter but even then below the operating temperatures of the tyre. In many cases I feel that the wheel is simply there to just exist... funny case once I had a crash and had that wheel off and it was still driveable for a little bit. My geometry is more or less symmetrical (sometimes I raise the rear higher to give the car a bit more rotation) with 50% crossweight Any suggestions?

@@johnnypenso9574 it seems they are treating the mx5 in iRacing like a test bench for everything new they want to introduce since it's mostly at rookie series. However due to my equipment I am limited to what cars are driveable and that is underpowered ones such as the MX5
