Sauvage works so well on one of my closest friends, and his wife adores it. Heck, even I like it on him. Low-key jealous because it's so beast mode. Bleu de Chanel in all of its versions works so much better on me. I love the fact that even among "generic" fragrances there is so much variety and one scent can smell so different on you and me. It's a great thing that we don't all love the same stuff. Life would be boring if we all looked, smelled, and thought the same!

I had Carbon back when it was cheaper. Needed to sell it unfortunately. Loved that fragrance and I miss it. It's just too expensive these days. I ALSO sold my Bleu De Chanel Parfum for the same reason. However, I rebought that mofo later on for EXACTLY the same reason, IT'S THE BEST...PERIOD! Bought Dylan Blue on your suggestion and now Im on my second bottle of Ferrigamo Acqua Essenziale Blu. I am VERY happy I listened to you. Honestly, after I bought those and enjoyed them, I became a permanent subscriber, mainly because I knew I could trust your nose. Thank you my friend. Luna Rosa Carbon is definitely great but I am one that goes nose blind to it after about 30 minutes. The only reason I didn't give up on it was because I keep getting compliments when I wear it. So I know it's just olfactory fatigue on my part. Of all the "blue" fragrances I've tried or own-- none has pulled more compliments for me than Dylan Blue. It holds a special place in my heart as the fragrance that got me truly into perfumery. I was always into it but Dylan Blue ignited the flame for my love of fragrances.

I can almost never smell ambroxan based scents for long. Same with the Aventus and BR540 DNA. Sucks when you wear fragrance because it’s something you enjoy but then you go nose blind like 30 minuets in.

I didn't like Dylan Blue either when I first opened it up. Now I love it and it's my favorite blue. I have Carbon, Sauvage EDP and Parfum, BDC EDT, Acqua Essenziale Blu, etc...Dylan Blue NEVER fails to aid in positive interactions. I even had a cop stop to ask me what I was wearing when I went to pick up a friend at the scene of a fender bender while he was doing paperwork. He stopped in his tracks to ask what I was wearing. Amazing stuff.

I wore BB Cobalt to work for 6 months straight. People always go "It's too sweet, it's not work friendly". Nonsense! It drys down to a wonderful woudy, fruity scent. Synthetic to high heaven. But No one ever complains about this one. I've said several times, that "Bad Boy edt is my all time favorite designer". I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it. I wanna fill up a swimming pool and bathe in the stuff. I've owned all three Bleu De Chanel fragrances. I now only have the edt for the simple reason that it's all i ever need. Fresh, spicy, citrusy, woody and aromatic. There is No time you can't wear a BDC fragrance. If they bless us with an Elixir, it'll take over the blue market for years to come. Here's to hoping 💖👍🏼

I love the opening of Sauvage EDP - after 15-20 minutes, it was just going away. I just thought it was a fake or it was a bad batch, but nah -- pure nose fatigue. All the Sauvages give me the same experience, which makes me not wear them as much cause I like to get regular wiffs of my fragrance.

Same! Same with Sedley from PDM. It’s the ambroxan. And anything that’s along the lines of Aventus I don’t smell for long either. Hacivat, Cedrat Boise, all of the Aventus clones. And don’t even get me started on anything that smells like BR540. That stuff is gone from my nose in minutes. But I’ve had people tell me that they could smell it radiating off of me hours later.

Dylan blue felt too redundent to me. At the time, i had missoni pour home as well and they were pretty similar. I ended up selling it years ago and bought bleu de chanel parfum since then. I think id rather have bleu parfum, but idk maybe i need to resmell dylan. Blue/freshies have always been my favorite types of scents too.

Okay. Here is my lenghty take. I love blue parfums. I do agree that they are the best ones ever made. BdC Parfum. A woody masterpiece. A niche level bdc. I disliked edt and edp for years because of those screatchy zesty notes. Foced myself to love it but there was always something that did not sit well with me. Probably citruses. The Parfum has so little of that. Blue inky goddess that had all I loved about BdC and nothiing I disliked. Even the citruses were much nicer. Elixir should be without the citrus. Just thick blue woody, strong as hell. My no 2 of all time. My no 1 of all time....ADG Profumo and I tried Profondo Parfum 1.5 months ago. Fell in love. It has a greener fresh opening while being Profondo. Love it love it love it. I dislike Profondo because those mineral notes dont sit well with me. They gime me a headacke for some reason and the only reason I am keeping my 2x200ml bottles is beause its an essential have but Parfum is better for me by far. No mineral notes, nice aquatic green thick opening and the frag lingers, projects but it isnt as synthetic or loud. Just below Profumo. Head to head. I love Parfums as they last a long time and the people around you an smell you softly when you move. This is what all frags should be like. Inoffensive yet there for hours when you move. Polo Blue Parfum. Had high expectations but ended up selling it. It simply didnt have that something for me. Not as fresh as EDP, not as gren for me, just okay. But... deep blue. Man oh man. Polo blue dna with green opening, fresh aquatic AF and with subtle Profondo / Profumo dry down, without mineral notes. Loving it. A must have for schorching summers Dylan Blue... the same. I thought it was a bad mash of bdc and profumo when it came out. Avoided it for years. Kept calling it rough diamond because it really needed its edges more smoothened. They tweaked this a bit in later formulations and I then got it and fell in love. Essenziale blu. I had 3 bottles. Used one and gave 2 away. Its not that I didnt like it it just... for me it was less sweet dylan blue with a lavander touch. Was missing that punch and sweetness and I was reaching for it far less than dylan. Cobalt, very good just too redundant for me with all that I have. Cobalt Elixir, a notch better frag. Savuage Parfum... the best one. It takes the best of Sauvage and gets it to the blue niche level in the designer realm. Lasts for hours, into the next morning. I did not get it at first because Ithouth itwas weak and gone in 2 hours. This monster stays with you like your shadow. It does smell better than wast majority of niche. Gisada is a mango tropical sauvage. Extremely attention grabbibg but did not get it because it has a note that behaves a bit weird on my skin. On paper or as a frag... a masterpiece. Id like to add here Cool Water Parfum. More creamy less synthetic version of Sauvage EDT. Loving that creamy vetiver with watery blue sauvage dna. Not as wow directly smelled off the skin but in the air... it a huge wooow! BTW: in the end I failed to stop my purchase of Asad Zanzibar. Oh well, I will know how it is in the end.
