Not only tik tok but all social media is warping our sense of self and reality. The unnatural and unattainable beauty standards, the decrease in attention span, the lack of self awareness and introspection, it’s a fucked up world we live in. I ditched all my socials, and only use KZbin for entertainment and educational purposes. I recommend it to everyone. Spend some time with yourself. Do not subject yourself to others expectations. Please, cherish your self esteem and brain, please before it’s too late. This gen Z generation still has time to fix it, technology isn’t an enemy but we have to know when to say STOP. Sit down, reflex, the world doesn’t end because you don’t have tiktok or Instagram.

@@PossibleBat 100% I only use YT and discord now, but even then I limit myself. It is not healthy the way things are going. I'm not saying the guy is or isn't cheating but it's kinda gross that people started straight up bullying the girl and harassing their friends and family. The parodies are hilarious but people are literally refusing to leave her alone on anything she posts until she like... thanks them for making her doubt her boyfriend? Now she can't win lmao. It just sucks to me because now she can't break up with the guy or the internet will celebrate it and harass her more, which has effectively stuck them in this relationship no matter what may actually happen in the future. It's just sad to see millions of people dogpiling this 18 year old girl because they're projecting what they've been through onto her relationship

It’s so weird too because so many comments were accusing them of “gaslighting” when they denied the accusations which is funny because that’s EXACTLY what they’re trying to do to her. Making her doubt her own relationship and reality based on one video they saw from a shitty angle. I’ve even seen people call her delusional, naive, say they’re “just looking out for her,” etc. Literally textbook gaslighting. The boyfriend even made a video highlighting this hypocrisy and of course there were more comments calling THAT video gaslighting.
@charliedalencour51413 жыл бұрын
Yeah 100% agree, and they’ve basically taken away her ability to just have fun on the Internet. Cause she can’t really post anything in the future with mans or not without this fear of a viral tiktok hanging over her. I dunno, I just thought we were past this bullshit
