Hi there! I am beginning my new video mini series I call „DOUBLE ENDERS SERIES” in which I will present variations of different uses for safety double enders I use on a daily basis. In this episode I wish to share my way of stowing the longhose. I use very tight hose retainers, dive in thick dry gloves and very often in cold water conditions so this approach to stowing seems very handy and useful. The concept is based on the assumption that throughout the process of stowing the part of the hose to be stowed is not allowed to dangle. The sequence I use has been checked by me and my students hundreds of times and it works perfectly, but of course it is not an agency standard (yet) but a way I find comfortable. It is also a very good buoyancy and muscle memory practice. The second part of the video shows me performing the skill with no fins with ankles kept together to make it a bit harder but ideal to work on my buoyancy control.
Forgive me for the quality but most of my videos I film with a gopro residing on a rock or cliff. I need to stay in the frame not knowing if I am actualy in the center of the screen:). I can't afford a proper cameraman:).
Mind you, the second clip is filmed in our Polish murky waters, hence the low picture quality.
As for the series, other episodes will also include entering and exiting water with the use of double enders, also from a boat, as I have been asked to provide a video like that if possible.
I hope you enjoy the vid. Share it if you like it as it will give me a boost of energy for yet other videos to be made.
Regards
Michura
